Here’s a picture. Cables , chain were new when I last did a refurbishment. It’s not really been used since. I have 7 speed brake and lever sets that will work with it. Currently has a friction set on.

Out of the shed and cleaned up. I'll give it a full check over and post the pictures tomorrow.

How rideable do you want it to be?

I ve got a 1990's Trek in a shed that should fit her.

All steel , no suspension and has , I think, rack mounts .

It's partly rebuilt and I have spare 26" slicks as well..

Personally, I doubt if our emergence from lockdown will see a significant increase in cycling in London or alter to its demographic from being largely white, male, and under 40.

Infrastructure alone won't make a difference.

Tanks Tops- made or worn in the 70s. They had a scoop neck and were usually made of man-made fibres. The patterns were bright and garish. I should know, I wore them. They were rarely worn during CTC club runs.

It is now. At the start of the outbreak the boroughs' with the highest rates were Westminster, Lambeth, and Southwark, but it looks like it's now affecting the more deprived borough and wards hardest. Bear in mind that the old model of inner London equals deprivation no longer holds.

One other point, care and nursing home beds aren't equally distributed across the boroughs. Some have a much higher numbers than others. It's the outer London boroughs who tend to have more care and nursing home beds than inner London boroughs. Hackney, for example has very few beds .

Can I remind you that "gravel riding" was invented by the Rough Stuff Fellowship in 1957.
They all road with mudguards then and many still do now.

For Sale.

A Claud Butler Dalesman- size medium/small. The frame is similar to a Dawes Galaxy.

It's built up with:

A Deore triple chain set, a Deore rear mech, a Tiagra front mech , and bar end shifters.

I have fitted new cables, chain, cassette, chain rings , jockey wheels and BB bearings.

The brakes are cantilevers which work handsomely.

A perfect bike for touring and commuting, which is what I used it for.

It currently has a 90mm stem and 42 cm bars, but I do have some shorter stems if that would suit your bike fit. The TT is, I think , 57cm. I 'd say it straddles a medium/small . I am 5ft 7 so depending on your set up it would fit people on either side of my height.

There are 3 sets of bottle mounts and fittings for both a front and a rear rack; so everything you need for a fully laden tour. The frame has chips and scratches and minor dents to the top tube. All rust spots have been treated with Jenolite.

A low rider front rack is also for sale.

It's in E 10 and I am looking for £275 ONO.
