Hello,
I'm trying to figure out spoke lengths to build some road wheels. I've tried a few online resources and although this http://lenni.info/edd/ is very good, I find it comprehensive to the point of being confusing!
This is what I'm trying to build....
Front - 36h, 3 cross
Rim - Omega 19 box section rim (there's a few variations of this on Edd, all with different ERD)
Hub - Campagnolo Record, 1980's low flange hubRear - 36h, 3 cross
Rim - Omega Strada Hardox v rim (again, there are two different versions of this on Edd)
Hub - Campagnolo Record, 1980's low flange, 6 speedAny help greatly appreciated, cheers!

i think its 144 BCD you are looking for i am quite sure, 135 is for c-record
Oh ok, I didn't measure, I just assumed it would be 135bcd because it's standard for Campagnolo. Although it used to be 144bcd, when did it change over?
Anyway, I'll bow to your superior knowledge and measure/confirm this evening.
I am looking for 144bcd double cranks (I think)!!

I just had a quick look online and wow! I didn't realise bonsai trees would be so pricey.
Slightly off topic but can anyone recommend somewhere in London to buy one? And what is the least amount of money I can spend (I understand this approach will take more work on my behalf and the tree probably won't be as impressive)?
Yeah, all this bonsai talk has made me want to get another one. Think I might spin up to this place http://www.crewshill.com/bonsai-nursery.html tomorrow and check it out, I don't know anywhere central that specialises in them though, sorry!
Not sure on price, I'd expect to pick up a decent 6-8yr old tree for £30-40.
To the OP, why oh why are you using cat litter? You have a bonsai tree, not a pile of cat shit!

It is a Chinese Elm, I had one for years before it died in a sun-deprived squat.
It sounds to me like you're watering it too much, and constantly damp soil will drown the roots.
I'd consider re-potting it. Have you done so before? While doing this you can check on the roots and prune them back if needed (it will be if you've never done so before). Also, when re-potting, you need to use specific bonsai (or similar) soil - it has sand and grit in it to promote drainage and aeration. Then put it in a bigger pot and pray to Buddha :)

Raleigh Medale half built up - with a small bit of cash and effort, you'll have a nice pub bike.
Some vague info as it's compiled of lots of random parts....
57cm seat-tube
700c
Fixed/free rear hub (probably formula/system-ex)
Freewheel cog, no fixed cog
Unknown front wheel, steel rim, gatorskin tyre
Unknown chain
Old but working bb (probably shimano)
Unknown seatpost, saddle
Pivo stem, unknown bars
Working front brakeThis was meant to be a pub bike but never got finished so it's been gathering dust for a while. It's in good nick though, and with a crankset, will make a nice, cheap fg/ss bike for someone.

Hello,
Tech question that I hope someone might be able to answer.
I have this Toshiba GJ277 hard drive that I salvaged from my laptop that died suddenly. I want to get the files from it, but it doesn't fit in any other laptops that I have access to. Is there some sort of adaptor or case I can get and maybe turn it into an external HD?
Any help greatly appreciated, cheers...
