LC - I love the first incarntion of the LC. A coupl of yours ago I bought a KR1S cheap, I lusted after one when I was 16/17. It was ridiculous. 29 mpg regardless of how you rode it (this is a 250 for those who don't know/care). A litre of expensive 2-stroke every 350 miles. But what a load of fun! One of the very few motorbikes that you can screw up an approach in a bend to, and correct it like nothing had happened.
Hey hey. I had a KR1s for a bit - brilliant fun. One of only 2 bikes I ever had that could tank slap hard enough to lift both wheels off the ground. (The other was my old TL1000S, which in many ways was sort of a grown up version.)
I love 2 strokes. Bought a CR500 motard last year, but ended up flogging it because it was SOOOOOOO impractical and a pig to start. That sucka must've done no more that 15mpg, I shit you not......

This sounds like the geeky shit Alan Partidge would come up with alongside conversations about Lexus cars. "Hey, do you counter steer?"
Surely it's just a natural thing and shouldn't really be classified as a style of riding? If you lean out and then in you get the slingshot on a corner..simples
Damn right. Even amongst mo'bikes. Everybody does it to some degree anyway. If you are conscious of it though, you can you it to turn MUCH harder (on motorbikes anyway). Good for the 'see god, then brake' Kevin Schwantz style of riding. In deep, slam it on its side, stand it up fast and pull the trigger.

Also healthy fats such as fish oil, avocado oil, and olive oil have excellent anti-inflammatory properties, so make sure you get a reasonable amount of those in your diet.
Both posts truly excellent advice. Just as a side point I found meat fats, particularly pork and beef had exactly the opposite effect (I.e made inflammation worse).
Looking at the metal work and comparing it to mine, I think even if they took the lot out (bar the tibial nail) you'll be fine for bone strength for all the excercise CJ suggested.
Still shit though. I hate surgery. Trying to avoid the need for a tendon transfer on my ankle because of nerve damage caused in the original break. Invasive and 3 months in a cast while the tendons knit. That would friggin suck.

Cash tonight ;)
All of our money is sunk in T-shirts so I'm attempting to pull together cash from IOU's and Pukes on Cocks so that we have enough to go on holiday at the end of this month.
I'll have a POC if there are still some left at wests tonight.
Iconic that T-shirt.
Surprised it didn't cause more of a stir at the flask on tuesday, given the number of peeps modelling it.

I had 2 screws out of my leg in march last year and was out cycling 2 days later. You should have at LEAST 75%+ of the bone strength their so anything non-impact should be fine.
By the by, took well over 18months to put back muscle that I lost on my thigh (still not quite right) but I noticed it improved much quicker with copius amounts of protein shakes. Taste foul, make you fart but definitely work on rebuilding muscle.
Good luck with the butchers!
(edited because I don't know where exactly your screws went in and how close they are together apparently makes quite a big difference)

Motorbikes vs Bikes in london is a tough one, all comes down to legalities and red lights. Ignoring those and I'd say in 10miles cross town a well ridden push bike is a match for a mo'bike.
Ignoring legalities completely, I once did Kingston to Canary Wharf in 16minutes on my mo'bike. Bad old days, etc.....pre cameras in Limehouse Link.

They're unbreakable with croppers, unfortunately there is no lock that can't be removed in under a minute with a good slitting saw....
