Much appreciated, great video and that pedal sounds ace, certainly a contender.
I don’t really have the vocabulary to describe tone but it sounds like the Matcha is at the boomier/woofier end of the spectrum(to my ears at least).
I rather like a tighter/brighter fuzz sound, think recent fu manchu, white dog etc as well as the wild scratchy lead sounds like Isiah from earthless gets. A little doom is good but not looking for full blown sludge or chainsaw tones…I know Bob from fu uses a Creepy Fingers which is made by his bandmates company and very much above budget.
Seems all the cheap pedals review fairly well just a case of deciphering which original they’re a copy of.
@RonAsheton yep, I imagine there’s far too many potential variables to give a definitive answer.

Red is a bastard for me, purple for my partner. I think all inks hit different on different folks.
Whatever brand of black Malice uses is the absolute business. My tattoos from her are the only ones that have never triggered my psoriasis, irrespective of other factors like season, my overall health etc. -

I haven’t got a scooby. I was thinking out loud from a place where I almost certainly lack the knowledge compared to others on here.
It all started with me being perfectly ok with the idea of rioters losing their council houses and spiralled a bit from there.
As you were everyone, happy to leave the debate to those with more experience of such things. -
In a unicorn filled wonderland then yes, that would be nice.
Heck if I go down for a 10-stretch I’d come out the other side mortgage free!
Sign me up.Of course I don’t want to break up families or make people homeless but fuck me, can’t we just accept the fact some people are proper cunts and can’t be trusted with a property if no-one’s keeping an eye on them?

I find it difficult to rationalise giving a free house to a rioter/bigot/thief/insert crime of choice. Especially those with multiple previous convictions.
I’m paying a mortgage but if I got banged up for 2yrs I’d definitely be on the streets after release.A safe place to sleep should absolutely be a human right, your own private home for nowt? Not sure.

The only situation it works is in a totally idealistic situation in my head where it simply helps people see the correlation between work/community/education and self worth. Everyone comes out the side of it with a new lease of life.
I’m not suggesting for one second it would actually work, let alone be free from all sorts of pitfalls and crappiness.

Nah, focus on training/education, not punishment.
I know it’s a fucking fine line and would probably be completely impossible to implement in a way not open to abuse(from both sides), but feel a middle-ground opportunity for some people that doesn’t result in them getting a criminal record/locked up but a real last-chance saloon could be beneficial in a lot of cases. -
Even if we had enough council housing for every man, woman and child it should be revoked for serious crimes.
Unpopular opinion- a modernised form of workhouse(with full education, rehabilitation and work/social training facilities) should be introduced for persistent low-level offenders.
Keep them busy during the day, get some of the grotty jobs like litter picking on motorway junctions dealt with and hopefully instill some work ethic in those that have been left behind.
A short stint in somewhere like that would have been very beneficial to me in my early 20s. -

Wow thanks for the detailed post, muchos gracias. A lot to take on lol.
Basically my little orange micro dark with 8” cab sounds ace when you turn it right up but it’s a bit anti-social, especially from a beginner so would be nice to get the fuzz without turning everything right up :/
