don't worry about that Pete. I made a decision a while back when I saw how many true tricksters were turning up - basically i figured i needed to stay crap forever so that new people would still feel welcome to come and try stuff out, so I am even shitter than i was in September.
It's enough for me to see people who couldn't do anything do six backward circles in one go...wheelies... leg over the handlebar skids... sniff sniff howl of pain
I was thinkin' of popping along after the new years, I've still got to make up my bike and get back to london after the old family christmasy stuff.
I'm hoping your not all going to be epic when I pop along and fall off attempting... well anything.
Room for one more

It needs new tires, I think at they're probably as old as the bike. everything rolls along, mudgaurds are rusted all over, leather seat's split, Paintwork is generally in good condition on frame and fork just spots of rust here and there, rims are quite rusty, hubs seem ok if quite rusty outside. Basically it would ride with new tires, just chrome parts quite rusty.
I was wondering whether to just sell as is, or buy new tires, sandblast/strip the bars, mudguards and rims ready for a re-chrome/paint. Obviously wont touch the frame's paint.
I'll be able to get pictures when it's light tomorrow.

Does anyone have any knowledge of old circa 1930's road bikes, I have a (i think) 1936 raleigh 'golden arrow', and I was wondering whether anyone knows the best place/way I could sell it, is eBay a bit of a gamble, and maybe what sort of price I would get for it? I don't have any photo's at the moment, I'll put a link to a catalogue page of around the right era.

it's not the exact same year, mine has black frame AND fork with gold graphics on it, maybe an option?
cheers, Dan.

Here is the Frame hope they satisfy its gonna need a fair deal of work, Does anyone know a place where i can get it sandblasted cheaply, as there is some rust that needs to be got rid of and the paint aint in good nick. Thanks>
hmm dont seem to be able to upload any photos any help?I can get access to a bead/sandblaster after the new year if you can wait that long, it uses fine beads so it takes a while to strip everything, but wont damage the tubes. I'm not up on what and how to mask though.

would be well up for a skate session.
hadn't skated for years, but skated a few bowls over the summer...
there's one in a youth centre just past camberwell art college (on the way to peckham), its pretty mellow and nice - there are rails all round the edges and a little fun box + plus basketball courts etc.I think I live near that one, is it down commercial way?

Saw a video of "Radball", and dreamed of the possibility of hoofing various objects with my front wheel (small animals and the like).
Was also given a 1936 raleigh "golden arrow", but didn't think it was wise to try hoofing anything on a 75 year old flip-flop hub. So I'm converting an old touring frame (possibly bit puppy-killer).

The sandblaster would take off the rust, just slowly.
did you find it with that quill stem convertery thing? (if thats what I think it is)
