Also customs stripped all the padding off mine on the way out to check for mud and then just but it back in the box. It now has paint chips! Although I don't think English customs are so anal.

Just missed one on the bay because frickin ebay logged me out as i did my tactical last minute bidding!
Also, if they have any risers in them, could be persuaded to take them too.

Ok, so like everyone else i'm after a few bits.
After clearing out my parts bin, i just made one of those you know "accidental" purchases on Ebay. This frame is not in keeping with my regular style, but it will become my slave to smash around on.
To cut to the chase, not wanting to spend the earth if i can help it, but we all know how these quick beater projects end up so for good quality items i'm happy to pay the price.
Black wheelset. Really open to anything, the more black the better. May run a brake upfront, may not. Maybe a pair of ellipses, or warriors, even deep vs could work, whatever you've got.
Black or carbon cranks. FSA, omniums, suginos, road/track don't care. Ideally 47-51 chainring, and maybe even a BB to go with
Standard thomson seatpost 27.2, or a cheap carbon job for time being
x2 or x4 stem, 70-100 with 0-10 degree rise. Not sure yet, will need ot try a few i think.
Front caliper, risor and little lever too, but lets sort out some bigger bits first. :-)
Basically i have a frame/fork, HS and saddle... the rest is fair game. Not in a mega rush so feel free to reignite this thread throughout the summer.

Does anybody know what the height of this saddle would roughly be from the bb? Just chopping some ideas together. I'm guessing about 74cm?

I used coke before, bunged up the hole, turned it upside down and poured in through the BB shell. topped up every 8 hours or so and 3 days later it dropped out!

Strangely i've just bought the same bars you have on your Argos, so that i can sell the 2a and pista's and keep the rest a little longer.
The other frame is a random australian frame. It had Keith Oliver Limited Edition on the top tube.
Its 7005 and the oversized tubes are flared and fluted
This one turned up for a nifty with everything but cranks and wheels, so doesn't really matter what it is, although i then missed another that would have fit me better, fully built with thomson, sugino 75's and a khamsin disk. Didn't hit the buy button quick enough.
Got it stripped and polished in 1 evening though... so much for a "i don't give a shit beater!"
Also, bit of advice, do 70mm thomson x4's look silly short?
