@ Sumo. I'm sure you have too many bikes already ,but because its you I shall ship to indonesia, but i require all your bank details and payment in Ugandan shillings via my offshore account.
... thanks hippy. From what i see round here though, unless it's crabon and very expensive with huge logo's it's not "sydney" enough.

Not a detailed for sale thread as i don't really want PM's asking if the bike is still available by people that haven't read the whole thread.
This bike is in Sydney, and i won't be posting it, however I know there are a few guys on here from Sydney and Melbourne (where i'm heading next), so if anyone from these parts is interested i'll post some pics and details. Its an orange pulse with shimano group and suntour suberpe pro hubs to rigida rims. Looking for about 300 buckero's?
Ta very much

Why you think I'm selling this? My missus got a twenty also, and another project on the go! But if I keep this and get a tirdh bike I'll be sleeping on the sofa!
One in one out!I got around this by building 2 (pretty much same as yours, but with big sprung brooks saddles on), one for me, and one for her. A lot of time and effort and first time she used them both with a friend and they were stolen.(so that was 2 out i guess)
However the brief ride i did have, i really enjoyed, great fun and surprisingly nippy across town. Well worth the money, you would spend more to make it like this even with a free 20 to start! -

Check it out!
It is a singlespeed build from an old racing frameI have chosen to paint the cranks white too so I left them on... love it

Ooooh yeah.
I found one of these, NOS, in a bike shop in Sydney. Bargainous price of $600 (£400)!!!!! Needless to say, I emptied my wallet on the spot. Have no idea how I'll afford to build it up though...
Which bike shop might that be? Do they have any other gems?

There it is, Its almost worth it for the matching pair, even though its too small and would cost me another 500 quid to build it up with record. Maybe if i had a taller girlfriend... who liked bikes, we could ride around in matching jackets... or do i just have it on the wall??:-)
Thanks for the link and comment, its changed a bit now, got some cloth clad pistas and some gumwalls; will get a recent shot up soon.

Pretty good deal over on Bikeradar
Did anyone buy this, was hoping to get a matching road bike, but alas... too slow it appears? How much was it, what size was it... and who has it now? :-)

Why don't you get a new steerer fitted, sure it would be cheaper in the long run than all this faffing/changing to threaded headset/milling headtube... plus then you could ride it rather than just taking photos of it? :-)
Also, where you had the issues with the carbon steerer shattering if it was not long enough, if you can get closer with the steel steerer through headset and stem, will you not be alright if a few mm short.
1 last thought, as a bit of a bodge, but a completely hidden one, could you fit a quill/threadless adaptor into the steerer, and use that as a kind of extension piece. It would give you probably an extra 30mm, and is essentially proven to be strong enough. *
*waits for firing squad to wake up
