@Forms - It's ok man, I saw your new project recently and it had a dirt harry on it, so I thought maybe you decided on a different colour or something. Very nice frame by the way.
@Brian - It's all yours, I'll drop you a PM.
SCRATCH THAT. You're new and I can't PM you yet I'm afraid. Anywhere near 5 posts yet?

things I hate about this weather:
it's held up stuff at work, beyond our control, therefore costing us time/money.
walking, the pavements are a joke (try to walk in the snowy bits for better grip, not where all the sheep go)
prats with cameras everywhere. yes it's snow, surely you are old enough to have seen it before, and no, your pathetic JPG of a snowman isn't going to make you a millionaire or become a christmas card.
adults with snowballs. I've got one for you, oh no, sorry it's a fist.
wankers in 4wd driving like twats and covering everyone waiting to cross the road in sludgy shite.
sludgy shite.
morons who are so desperate they spend 2 hours digging their precious motors out then slide all over the road in until they prang a parked car.
the same morons who leave 6 inches of snow on their car roof so it falls down and obscures their vision.Things I like about this weather:
fuck all.
the few cyclists I saw on the road. about walking pace but brave shit, especially the bloke with the bakefeitsDid your parents tell you as a child that snow was evil? And then not let you play in it? It's ok, it isn't. Really. Don't tell anyone else, but it's just ice!

This is genius. Had to share it.
**"A good place to find white people on a Saturday is at a Bike Shop. Bike shops are almost entirely staffed and patronized by white people!
** But not all white people love bicycles in the same way, there is much diversity. First up, we have the younger urban white folks who absolutely love their fixed gear bicycles. These are seen all over college towns, Silverlake in LA, Williamsburg in Brooklyn, Queen West in Toronto, and Victoria, British Columbia. Fixed gear bicycles meet a lot of requirements for white person acceptance. They can be made from older (i.e. vintage) bicycles, thus allowing the rider to have a unique bike that is unlikely to be ridden by anyone else in town. They are also easily customizable with expensive things Aerospoke rims, Phil Wood Hubs, and Nitto Parts. The combination of rare bicycles and expensive parts makes it easy for white people to judge other white people on the quality and originality of their bicycles. This is important in determining if someone is or isn’t cooler than you."

Shit man, was this leaving ours? Hope you're alright...
Yeah it was, ha, unlucky eh. Must have been karma. Free saddle, so karma dings my wheel in payment :p
Yeah I'm fine, it was only low speed, just annoying it's dinged my practically brand new wheel.
Could have been worse though, so I'm keeping that in mind. My friend last week had the same thing happen to him, except he went on to the bonnet and windscreen, totalled his bike, and has torn his thigh muscle = crutches for 2 months. Completely driver error at a bigger roundabout. Cars, who needs 'em eh? -

So about 20 minutes ago, a black cab goes into the back of me at a roundabout, while ironically, I was giving way (as I was meant to) for another black cab. Apparently he "thought I'd go and wasn't looking ahead". Excellent. Checked the bike, thought it was ok and got on with it. In the light, looks like I now need a little true-up. Bike is 8 days old and I've been riding fixed that long...argh.

*Crud (Race Pac?) Set***
Used, but not rough by any means.
Zefal 'Swan' - Rear***
Bought from BLB recently for 12.99, but don't need it anymore. Pretty much as new. Nice because it requires no tools to take on or off, just has a screw cap mounting, so can whack it on the down-tube instead of the seat post. Nice curve to it so you can have it just above the tyre.
Old Stylee Aluminium Shorts Set
These little things are circa 1978 short aluminum guards that bolt on to the brake mountings. Good for a vintage looking bike? Should point out that they aren't rusty, just need a good clean with white spirit or something.
