Hi everyone,
I have just sorted out a load of seatposts - there are plenty of bargains to be had...
The descriptions are in the same order as the picture beneath... The important length dimension is rails to limit marks - different manufacturers have different ideas on how much needs to be inserted into a frame. If the length is specially critical please ask me to double check as the measurements given are approx - normally should be within ± 5mm. If there is no limit mark I have assumed to leave 60mm in the frame.
Shipping on seatposts will be £3.50 - shipping on more than one item will be combined to reduce the cost.
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. **ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL; viewing/collection welcome. Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

This frame is NOT 531 plain gauge – if it was it would take a 26.4 or 26.6mm seatpost not 27.2mm. **
Path is simply another word for track, and does not have a different** meaning. The Americans have in more recent times misunderstood the word and attached meaning to it that make no sense. This is a road-track frame designed for use on the road and track, that is why it has mudguard eyes. Most track frames built in the 1950s were built as dual-use road-track frames, many riders would also time-trial on their track frames and they would often also be used for training during the winter, money to have several different frames for each part of the sport was mostly not available.
The details are all correct for this being a Holdsworth built Freddie Grubb. Frames prior to Holdsworth buying the name and some of the stock after the bankruptcy in 1951 were known as F H Grubb. Holdsworth always used the name Freddie Grubb on the ones they built. The Nervex Pro lugs are of the type post 1955 so my best guess is that this frame was built in the late 50s. The seatstay eyes, curved seatstay bridge and fork crown are all in the Holdsworth style for this period. It is wrong to think that all the Freddie Grubb badged frames were cheap ones – there are ssmall numbers of higher end frames built from 531 double-butted tubing. The cheap ones also did not use a complete Nervex Pro lug and BB shell set - these were expensive components in the time. The cheaper frames tended to use Nervex Serie Legere or cheaper lugs...

Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with 700C wheel: 57mm

This is thought to be a Freddie Grubb built track frame - it certainly looks corect and is built with Nervex Pro lugs and bottom bracket and obviously Reynolds 531 double butted tubing. Its in very nice condition, powdercoated red with just one tiny ding on one side of the top tube. It has had braze-ons added for a rear carrier and hub brakes front and rear – these could of course be easily removed. £145 REDUCED to £130

RALEIGH ROYAL TOURING FRAME 1994 New Old Stock
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 133mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 708
This Raleigh Royal touring frame ia bhrand new and never been used. It dates from 1994. The Royal frame builot from Reynolds 708 tubing was identical to the frame used on the Randonneur bicycle of the period and was arguably one of the best production steel touring frames of all time. We rated it extremely highly at Cycling Plus at the time and even did feature of a Royal/Randonneur frame being built. I still have the C+ test Raleigh Royal myself. It has all the braze-ons needed for touring – mounts for front and rear racks, canti brakes, spare spokes etc. Rear dropout width is 133mm so that either 130mm or 135mm OLD rear wheels can be used. A real bargain at £145. SOLD
RALEIGH DYNA-TECH 401Ti ROAD FRAME 1993 New Old Stock
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)

Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Titanium main tubes, chrome-moly rear stays and forks
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 47mm
In the late 1980s Raleigh developed frames with bonded aluminium lugs used with steel and/or titanium tubing. These eventually were branded Dyna-Tech. This frame is one of the last of this development and apart from the very rare and exotic version using aluminium metal matrix tubing was the top of the line Raleigh road frame in 1993. It uses titanium main tubes bonded to aluminium lugs with Reynolds chrome-moly rear stays and forks. This frame is totally unused and even comes with a spare frame identity hologram decal that Raleigh used on their top frames then. £145 SOLD subject to payment
BOB JACKSON ROAD FRAME c1985
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
This Bob Jackson is severely in need of refurbishment – it looks as if it has been used on a home turbo... However it is very sound – there is one very small dent to the side of the top tube but there are no other problems apart from it needing a good powder coat. A chance to get a bargain at £115
WOODRUP ROAD FRAME late 60s/early 70s
Seat Tube (ctt): 22in (56cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)

Brake drop with sprint/700C wheel: 54mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame number: 2243
This is a very sound Woodrup road frame from the late 60s/early 70s built with Campag long road ends without eyelets. It will make an ideal frame for a fixed or singlespeed conversion with the long rear dropouts and 120mm OLD spacing – and the front brake drop of 54mm means there’s no difficulties finding brakes to fit... **REDUCED to £69 **SOLD
CARLTON SUPERCOURSE 1981
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with sprints/700C: 50mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
The Supercourse was one of the top Carlton road frames in the late 70s/early 80s. This frame is in very sound condition – except for the rear gear hanger threads which need repairing if it is to be used with a gear – I can get this done at cost price by Argos if the buyer wishes. I have checked the BB threads and ran taps through them and they are perfect. The paint could be touched to make it very useable. An excellent quality frame at a bargain price. **REDUCED to £59 ****SOLD**

MIKE MULLETT ROAD FRAME 1970s

Top Tube (ctc): 53cm
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Brake drop with 700C wheels: 50/44mm
Tubing: Reynolds 531 DB tubing
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Mike Mullett was for several years the foreman at Raleigh’s Ilkeston works which produced the 753 frames for the Ti-Raleigh team. This frame dates from the 1970s and is in very sound condition. The front fork is not original - but is a Raleigh 531 fork. £79 SOLD
CONDOR TT FRAME c1980 Track Ends
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 42mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is one gorgeous Condor fillet brazed frame built by Vic Edwards probably around 1980 with track rear facing dropouts and a derailleur hanger – there was a real fashion for TT frames in the late 70s/early 80s for using track dropouts with gears. It has very close clearances and I think steep head and seat tube angles. One really special frame. The paint is excellent with a few very small marks. Gear and rear brake cables are internal. **REDUCED TO £195 ****SOLD **
VISCOUNT AEROSPACE SE
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Frame tubing: Aerospace steel tubing
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 65mm
Viscount frames from the 1970s were really quite far ahead of their times - they were fillet brazed from from good quality cro-mo steel tubing. and were really rather nice. They incorporated advanced features such as a pressed in cartridge bearing BB. And originally were supplied with an aluminium fork which occasionally broke - this frame has had its original forks replaced with steel ones. I can supply an original pair of Viscount wheels and Viscount bars/stem to go with this frame for an additional £20. The frame itself is very sound but the BB needs regreasing or the bearing replaced. £29 SOLD
P T STALLARD MONTLHERY ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 21in 53cm
Top Tube (ctc): 21.75in (55.5cm)

Wheel size: 27in/sprints/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 58mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
An early Percy Stallard Monthlery model frame from 1947. The frame appears to be in excellent condition and has been very nicely repainted. This frame features some very attractively cut lugs. It has had rack mounts fitted on the rear stays and there is a period type rack which will be included with the frame. Percy Stallard was essentially the founder and leading light behind the development of road racing in Britain in the 1940s and he sponsored a race team in the 1940s. His shop was in Broad Street, Wolverhampton. Frames were built from 1945 until the late 1960s. See http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/stallard.html for more details of Percy Stallard and his frames. £125 Still available
BILL HANNINGTON AUDAX/RANDONNEUR FRAME c1980
Seat Tube (ctt): 51cm (20in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Vitus 980
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 53mm
Bill Hannington was a small framebuilder based near Reading in Berkshire. This extremely nice little frame is in excellent condition with excellent paint (just a very small number of tiny marks) features Thanet like Hellenic seatstays except that that they are not connected to the seat tube - on a small frame such as this it gives a lot more room for a saddlebag as a well as a distinctive appearance. £125 SOLD

GILLOTT SPEARPOINT LUG ROAD FRAME 1951
Seat Tube (ctt): 61cm (24in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57.5cm (22.75in)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27in/ Sprints/700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 58mm
This is a very sound Gillott Spearpoint lugged road frame which can be dated from its frame number as coming from 1951. It definitely needs repainting but will be truly stunning when restored. Its easy to convert this frame to 120mm rear dropout spacing and will then be totally ideal as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £175
ALAN ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctc): 52cm
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
Seatpost size 25.0mm
This is an excellent Alan road frame I would guess from the early 1980s. Its is excellent condition with no cracks or other damage. The horizontal dropouts mean that is possible for it to be used as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £95
MOORSON DURALITE probably c1950
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
The Moorson Duralite frame design perfectly illustrates the ingenuity of the British framebuilder in building something that looked different and appealed to the rider who wanted to stand out from the crowd. The standard single top and down tubes were each replaced by small twin tubes each of which ran in one piece from the head tube to the rear fork ends via the seat lug and bottom bracket respectively. This saved lots of tube mitreing for the small diameter tubes were simply brazed on to either side of the head and seat lugs and attached to the bottom bracket shell by two projecting lugs. The small diameter tubes were each tied together with two small cross tubes. The first announcement for the novel design appeared in Cycling in February 1927 but they were built into the 1950s – it is thought this is a very late example. There were several unusual aspects to the Moorson – the frame was built in a jig which helped to ensure far better than average frame alignment. The frame itseldf appears to be in excellent conditioon; it has been quite nicely repainted but has since been badly stored - there are quite a number of chips and some areas of the paint are dull but being black it should be reasonably easy to retouch. Moorsaons are really very rare and the price reflects this... £295
SOMEC ROAD FRAME c1979
Seat Tube (ctc): 56cm
Top Tube (ctc): 54.5cm
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheels: 45cm
This is one truly gorgeous frame – take a look at the quality of the lugwork and the time and attention that went into the lugs – I have rarely seen another Italian frame as nice. This really blows Colnagos and such like completely out of the water... If it was my size I would definitely have kept this for myself. I have sold several other Somec frames and they were very nice but this is the best of the lot... Somec are hugely underrated. The paint and chrome are both excellent but not perfect – there's a scrape on one side of the top tube which needs touching up better and there is a tiny ding on one side of the top tube too. reduced to £225.

WOODRUP ROAD FRAME late 60s/early 70s
Seat Tube (ctt): 22in (56cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with sprint/700C wheel: 54mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame number: 2243
This is a very sound Woodrup road frame from the late 60s/early 70s built with Campag long road ends without eyelets. It will make an ideal frame for a fixed or singlespeed conversion with the long rear dropouts and 120mm OLD spacing – and the front brake drop of 54mm means there’s no difficulties finding brakes to fit... £75 SOLD
CARLTON SUPERCOURSE 1981
Seat Tube (ctt): 52cm (20.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with sprints/700C: 50mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
The Supercourse was one of the top Carlton road frames in the late 70s/early 80s. This frame is in very sound condition – except for the rear gear hanger threads which need repairing if it is to be used with a gear – I can get this done at cost price by Argos if the buyer wishes. I have checked the BB threads and ran taps through them and they are perfect. The paint could be touched to make it very useable. An excellent quality frame at a bargain price. £65
HOLDSWORTH MISTRAL c1980
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 66mm
Seatpost size 27.2mm
The Mistral was Holdsworth’s top touring frame and this one dates I think from the early 1980s. It is in very sound condition with no dents though the paintwork is quite scruffy. Its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. reduced to £75 SOLD
CROWN COMET c1980 Reynolds 531
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 55mm
Crown frames were built by the Cyclo Gear Company in the late 1970s and early 1980s. This very sound frame is built from Reynolds 531 and with its long horizontal dropouts will make an ideal conversion to fixed or singlespeed. The paint is quite useable as it is. £65 SOLD
BIANCHI ROAD FRAME 55cm 1980s
Seat Tube (ctc): 55cm
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
For sale again due to messing about and chnges of mind... This very attractive Bianchi frame dates from the 1980s and comes complete with the bars and stem. The paint is in excellent condition with very few marks. With horizontal dropouts it will make a very easy singlespeed or fixed conversion £95 SOLD

RALEIGH ELAN Reynolds 501
Seat Tube (ctt): 59.5cm (23.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 501 double-butted
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 49mm
Thisis a very lightly used Raleigh Elan Reynolds 501 frame from around 1990 - the paint is in generally excellent condition with only a few small marks. With horizontal dropouts it will make an excellent conversion. £45 SOLD

SIMONCINI CHILDREN’S ROAD BIKE c1990
Seat Tube (ctc): 46cm
Top Tube (ctc): 46cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 24in
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This is a lovely children’s road bike from the late 1980s/early 1990s with Shimano 105 7-speed indexed gears and Miche 150mm cranks. It is at present on 24in sprint wheels with tubular tyres and could pretty much be used as is for youth racing. It would also be easy to build another pair of 24in clincher wheels – suitable rims and tyres are readily available from Airnimal (the Chameleon uses the ideal rims and they are very happy to sell you the rims and tyres). Its very rare to find a nicely proportioned child’s road bike like this – it would also be very suitable for short adults around 4ft 10in – 5ft 0in. £175

GITANE TOUR DE FRANCE FRAME c1976
Seat Tube (ctc): 54cm
Top Tube (ctc): 54cm
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 48mm
Seatpost size 27.0mm
This is a c1976 Gitane Tour de France made from Reynolds 531 tubing – the remains of the transfer can just be seen on the down tube. The frame is in very sound condition (there is a small dent on the top of the top tube but this will not affect the strength or alignment of the frame) and has the Gitane fabulous honeycomb rear dropouts which are slanting – this should mean that it could be quite easily converted to fixed wheel or singlespeed use. An unusual frame. £75 SOLDhttp://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Gitane-TDF.jpg
PALETTI ROAD FRAME 50cm 1980s
Seat Tube (ctc): 50cm
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 46mm
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame tubing: Columbus Aelle
Paletti are one of the lesser known Italian framebuilders which are really rather good. This frame features very attractively shaped and pantograpghed lugs and fork crown. Its nicely built and is in very sound condition; the paint needs some careful touching up and there is a small dent in the side of the down tube but that will not affect the frame structurally. £125http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Paletti-Aelle.jpg
CARLTON ROAD FRAME Early 1960s 19.5in
Seat Tube (ctt): 19.5in 49.5cm
Top Tube (ctc): 21in (53cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 26in/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 50mm
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This is a rather nice little Carlton road frame from the early/mid 1960s. It has standard British threading (not Raleigh) but I am do not know what tubing it is built from. It has long horizontal rear dropouts making it very simple for a fixed or singlespeed conversion. The paint is in very sound condition. £75 SOLD subject to paymenthttp://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Carlton-195in.jpg
GAZELLE CHAMPION MONDIAL ROAD FRAME 1990s Reynolds 531C
Seat Tube (ctc): 53cm
Top Tube (ctc): 54cm
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
Seatpost size 27.2mm
This is a really very nice Gazelle 531C road frame from the early 1990s. Gazelle frames are well known for their beautiful handling and care in building – this is just gorgeous. The paint is very good with a only a few small marks. £165 SOLD subject to paymenthttp://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Gazelle-Champion-Mondial.jpg
ALAN ROAD/TOURIST FRAME
Seat Tube (ctc): 52cm
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 47mm
Seatpost size 25.0mm
Most Alan frames are either road or cyclocross frames. This one is badged as a Tourist and when I got it was fitted with 26in aluminium wheels. It appears to be a standard road frame but with mudguard eyes front and rear. It has standard road frame clearances with 700C wheels. Its is excellent condition with no cracks or other damage. reduced to £95 SOLDhttp://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Alan-.jpg
CONDOR TT FRAME c1980 Track Ends
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 42mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is one gorgeous Condor fillet brazed frame built by Vic Edwards probably around 1980 with track rear facing dropouts and a derailleur hanger – there was a real fashion for TT frames in the late 70s/early 80s for using track dropouts with gears. It has very close clearances and I think steep head and seat tube angles. One really special frame. The paint is excellent with a few very small marks. Gear and rear brake cables are internal. £245http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Condor-TT-.jpg
MOSER LEADER AX ROAD FRAME c1990
Seat Tube (ctt): 64cm 58cm (ctc)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame Tubing: Oria
The Leader AX frames were introduced by Moser in around 1989. They were really quite stunning, fillet brazed with silver solder and an oversize top tube they were one of the first of a new breed of steel road frames and looked truly stunning. This one is in very sound condition with good useable paintwork and no dents or dings. It has horizontal dropouts so is perfectly suitable for fixed or singlespeed use. £195.http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Moser-Leader-AX.jpg
MAJOR NICHOLLS ROAD FRAME c1976
Seat Tube (ctt): 52cm (20.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 46mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Major Nicholls was a very highly regarded Birmingham framebuilder. This frame built in about 1976 may well have been built for a rider who was a member of some team – with relatively close clearances and true race geometry this frame was built for road racing. It incorporates some interesting little features – the brazed-on fittings for bottle cage and top tube cable guides are not standard – such fittings were only just coming into use on Ittalian frames it is easy to see the Italian influence in this frame. The standard of workmanship is some of the best I have seen for a long while. But it does require a repaint. Decals are available. £125 SOLDhttp://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Major-Nichols.jpg
MAXI SPORTS LO-PRO FRAME ex Lauret Roux Castorama 1995
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm 54cm (ctc)
Top Tube (ctc): 51cm
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C rear, 650C (26in) front
Frame tubing: Columbus aluminium
This stunning looking frame was Laurent Roux’s TT frame for his 1995 season at Castorama. Maxisports was owned by Cyrille Guimard who was Bernard Hinault’s team manager and coach I think in the 1980s. This frame is absolutely gorgeous despite a few scratches to the paint and is very, very special. With vertical dropouts it is not ideal for singlespeed/fixed use unless you manage to get a magic chain length. Reduced to £225.http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Maxi-Sports-2.jpg
RALEIGH ILKESTON FRAME 1980
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Brake drop with 700C wheels: 45mm
Tubing: Reynolds 753 metric
Frame number SB3868
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This was made at the Raleigh Ilkeston plant under the direct supervision of Gerald O’Donovan. Mike Mullett was the foreman in the framebuilding shop when this was built. There are some gorgeous touches such as the slotted bottom bracket and oversize seatstay cap. It is designed for use use with allen nut fitting brakes. The frame appears to be very sound condition with no dents. In autumn 1974 Raleigh established a specialist workshop (SBDU) capable of frame building to the very highest standards at Ilkeston in Derbyshire. Frames were built for the Ti-Raleigh continental pro team from the very beginning. They produced the only British frame to ever win the Tour de France (Joop Zoetemelk, 1980). The unit worked with Reynolds in developing Reynolds 753 and the first frames were tested by the Ti-Raleigh team in 1974. Genuine Ilkeston frames can be identified by frame numbers with 1 to approx 9500, prefixed SB. For a company as large as Raleigh, the SBDU was quite an unusual operation. Its production capacity was modest – at a maximum only about 1000 frames or so a year from about four framebuilders. SBDU frames were mostly built in stock designs except for the actual team frames. The paint is in excellent condition with almost no marks. £375http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Raleigh-753-SB3868.jpg
KOGA-MIYATA PRORACER 1981
Seat Tube (ctc): 51cm
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
Framee number: J376252
This is one of top end Koga-Miyata Japanese built frames which are truly stunning quality. Just take a look at the lug finishing and the drilled bottom bracket shell. These are really very fine frames. It has been horribly oversprayed in white but some of the original blue paint can be seen where the white spray has been poorly applied... The long horizontal dropouts make it am ideal conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £95 SOLDhttp://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Koga-Miyata-Proracer.jpg

I am sorry for the confusion but I had no PM after the initial enquiry about whether the the frame was a suitable size... Without payment or confirmation of payment by this morning I sold it to the next person who contacted me...
I do have a couple of other very small frames:
CONTI c1990
Seat Tube (ctc): 50cm (19.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 43mm
Bottom bracket threads: Italian
It is said that Conti frames were built by Ciocc and that it was simply another brand name of theirs … certainly this frame is exceptionally nice quality and has a Ciocc style cutout in the BB shell. The finish is in very nice condition save for a spot (shown in a close-up photo) which was caused by a wheel in transit. There is is a small dent (but it is very small) and the finish should touch up very well - the recommended technique would be to use nail polish which certainly comes in suitable shades... Very small frames such as this are rather uncommon. £125 Now SOLD
and
BILL HANNINGTON AUDAX/RANDONNEUR FRAME c1980
Seat Tube (ctt): 51cm (20in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Vitus 980
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 53mm
Bill Hannington was a small framebuilder baseed near Reading in Berkshire. £135

BSA ROAD FRAME 1970s
Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with 700C wheel: 58mm
Seatpost size: 25.4mm
This is a 1970s BSA road frame which will make an ideal budget conversion or even a beater bike but the paint is a bit too good for a beater I think. It comes complete as seen in the photos. £29 SOLD
TOM BOARD ROAD FRAME 1987/88
Seat Tube (ctt): 48cm (19in)
Top Tube (ctc): 50cm (20in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C: 45mm
Frame tubing: Columbus SL
Seatpost size 27.2mm
Tom Board built this frame in I think 1987 or 1988 for Ninon at The Bicycle Workshop in Notting Hill Gate, and then my son used it for a while when he was a lot smaller. Its rare to find a frame as small as this – in both the seat tube and top tube lengths. I am pretty certain its built from Columbus SL tubing. Its very beautifully built... £120 SOLD
NERVEX PRO LUGGED 531 ROAD FRAME 1950s/60s
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 58mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This previous owner of this frame suggested it might be a Mercian – I think not but whatever make it is, it’s a very nicely built road frame from the late 1960s with Nervex Pro lugs, Reynolds 531 double-butted tubing and long Campy rear dropouts. Ideal for pwder cating and applying an obscure name no-one has heard of... With 120mm wide rear droputs its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. £75 SOLD
WALLY GREEN ROAD FRAME c1958
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57.5cm (22.75in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 46mm
Wally Green was primarily a trade builder building for many shops in north London in the 1950s and 60s. He built some frames under his own name and this one built with Nervex Pro lugs and Campy long dropouts is really rather nice – unusually for a frame of its age clearances are really quite tight. Its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. £79
CARLTON COURETTE MIXTE Reynolds 531 1983
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with sprints/700C: 50mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
Quality mixte frames are few and far between – this frame was built by Raleigh’s Lightweight division in 1983 using Reynolds 531 for the main tubes. Its nicely made and the paint is in a very good condition with just a few small marks. £65 SOLD
WOODRUP ROAD FRAME late 60s/early 70s
Seat Tube (ctt): 22in (56cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with sprint/700C wheel: 54mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame number: 2243
This is a very sound Woodrup road frame from the late 60s/early 70s built with Campag long road ends without eyelets. It will make an ideal frame for a fixed or singlespeed conversion with the long rear dropouts and 120mm OLD spacing – and the front brake drop of 54mm means there’s no difficulties finding brakes to fit... £75
COLNAGO OVAL CX c1981/2
Seat Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 20mm
Colnago Oval CXs are not especially common. This one is very sound – it has been repainted, the paint is very good though a little pitting on the underside of the top tube has not been filled. This would not normally be noticeable when built-up. Otherwise this frame is exceptionally sound. £425

CLAUD BUTLER CLASSIQUE FRAME Early 1960s
Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 21in (53cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with sprint/700C wheel: 60mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
Seatpost size: 26.6mm
Frame number: 3324
This is a very sound Claud Butler road frame still in its original paint and dating I think from the early 60s. The paint is is quite badly scraped in places but it may well be possible to touch it up and improve its appearance. Its ideal for a single speed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts spaced at 120mm. £59 SOLD
FLYING SCOT ROAD FRAME 1961
Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
Top Tube (ctc): .5 (57cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with sprint/700C wheel: 56mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame number: K273
This is an extremely sound and straight Flying Scot road frame dating from 1961. The paint is generally very good except around the bottom bracket where it has been heavily touched up. Its certainly useable as it is... It will make an ideal frame for a fixed or singlespeed conversion with the long rear dropouts and 120mm OLD spacing – and the front brake drop of 56mm means there’s no difficulties finding brakes to fit... £125 SOLD
JACK TAYLOR CLUBMAN FRAME 1975
Seat Tube (ctt): 23in (58cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22.75in (57.5cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with sprint/700C wheel: 65mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame number: 6972
This Jack Taylor Clubman frame from 1975 seems to have its original paint which is in very good condition with only a few small marks. The frame does does not have dents or dings. £175 SOLD
VINER SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL c1979/80
Seat Tube (ctc): 55cm
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Columbus SL
High-end Viner frames are a match for almost any other Italian framebuilder being extremely nicely built. This one is in very sound condition but has suffered from I think being used on a turbo trainer hence the paint damage to the top tube and damage to the chrome on the chainstay. The chrome on the fork is sound with just a few corrosion marks. I have rubbed back with fine emery paper on both the top tube and chainstay and this easily clears the corrosion marks but there’s essentially no chrome left on the chainstay, hence it is £125 SOLD

PRESTO ROAD FRAME 58cm c1979
Seat Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531SL
Presto frames are practically unknown in the UK and outside of their native Netherlands but they are something really really special if this one is typical... Presto frames were built by Jan LeGrand who was the chief mechanic for the Ti-Raleigh Team during the 1970s and 1980s and back in the 60s was a good pro rider himself. Raleigh Ilkeston’s Team frames were heavily influenced by his work – indeed he used to come over before the start of each season to supervise the building of Team frames for the year. This frame is totally exquisite – take a look at the work that went into the dropouts and the stay ends both front and rear and the drilling on the underside of the fork crown. This is one very special frame. Its in virtually perfect condition. £245 SOLD subject to payment

BOB JACKSON TOURING FRAME c1992
Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57.5cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (55.5cm)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a late 1980s or early 1990s Bob Jackson touring frame complete with braze-ons for a rear rack and cantilever brakes. Most of the paint is in very nice condition – the exception is the paint and chrome on the chainstays – this could with a bit of care be touched up to match the rest of the frame. £125 SOLD
BOB JACKSON ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 60cm (23.75in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 50mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
Seatpost size 27.0mm
This Bob Jackson road frame is an ideal candidate for powder coating as the paint and chrome are both in poor condition. With 120mm wide rear dropouts its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. It was obviously built for sprint or 700C wheels as its clearances are typical of a late 60s/early 70s road frame ie reasonably tight... A chance to get a bargain Bob Jackson frame at only £75 SOLD
CARLTON ROAD FRAME 1970s
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 60mm
Seatpost size: 25.4
This is a really nice Carlton road frame from the 1970s which is in great condition and will clean up really rather nicely. With 120mm wide rear droputs its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. £34 SOLD
DAWES 531 FRAME late 1980s
Seat Tube (ctt): 63.5cm (25in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 50mm
This is a very nice Dawes road frame from the late 1980s which is in very sound condition. Frames of this size aree really rather rare. Its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. £59 SOLD
CROWN COMET c1980 Reynolds 531
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 55mm
Crown frames were built by the Cyclo Gear Company in the late 1970s and early 1980s. This very sound frame is built from Reynolds 531 and with its long horizontal dropouts will make an ideal conversion to fixed or singlespeed. The paint is quite useable as it is. £65 SOLD subject to payment

Shimano’s pioneering and radical groupset that was designed to be more aerodynamic... introduced 1980, withdrawn 1984 It has has many radical features including partial indexing built-into rear derailleur, non standard pedals with dropped platforms, spoke lacing on the hubs is all with the heads on the inside, cool aero delta style brakes - Lance Armstrong continued to use the Dura-Ace version of these until after 2000 for TTs, extraordinary handlebar stem with conceled bolts for handlebar clamp and expander and last but least the first aero shaped
seatposts These are a truly cool groupset that was in many respects years ahead of their time
This complete set is very lightly used - I should think its done no more than a 100 miles or so.

This is a very nice Holdsworth Tornado track frame. I would date it as late 1950... I had a slightly earlier Tornado for sale (10791) earlier in the year. It must be remembered that customers at Holdsworths could pick and choose exactly what they wanted... And components were in short supply so they would also use what they had on the shelf. When frames went back to Holdsworths for repainting they fitted as standard the latest headbadge - this may well explain the 1955-on style headbadge.
