dos santos needs to be given as free a rein as lennon in taking on players and letting his attacking instincts lead him, an example was when he was through on goal in the first ten minutes or so and passed tamely into the keepers midriff, rather than squaring for pav or modric.

I think it's fair to say that Dawson and Bassong are not a Champion's league pairing. Daws made a similar mistake to that which he made against Hungary, and that cost us a goal. Bassong made up for it with his goal. I think Ledley will be used sparingly at Stoke so he is fit for next week. Where's Woodgate when you need him? @ fourteen, you dug yourself a bit of a hole there. Spurs fans can hardly start mocking other teams' trophy cabinets, particularly those of Liverpool and Arsenal fans.

@ andy p, although 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the prem is not a trophy, most fans would rather achieve this than win the FA, League or Europa cup (as long as you get into the group stage of the champions league that is). I dislike that this is the way it is, but it is. Champion's league should be a knockout competition for league winners only. Europa for the cup winners.
