Yes, should do, as a general rule lower the water temp to boost acidity and subdue bitterness, raise it if you're experiencing excessive brightness or sourness.
The brew instructions are a general good starting point, tweak the dose and / or steep time (just do one at a time when experimenting) if you're not happy with the brew strength.
Cool, thanks.

love the cat in that photo
Roxy, super cute :)
moving house much?
nah I love loaded up bikes, when I was little I spent literally days hacking bits of wheel and wood together to make shift trailers in which I could drag stuff around in. THe best bit was taking it to the allotments then thrashing through the potholes and puddles to see how much abuse it could take*
*normally, not much O_o
I had just moved house and this me getting alot of my work stuff to new office (including the bike + trailer which are kept there)
saw one of these yesterday, brilliant!

Brilliant!

cheers - yeah, already learned the seatpost dimensions are not standard.
Headset needs new bearings as pitted - bottom side bearings were held loose, top ones caged - don't think it'll be a problem to have loose on both ends so long as I use correct size and the right number? BB spinning really nicely though.
Guessing the inner ring will give me a nice chainline to run single speed, am chasing a freewheel at the mo so hopefully up and running soon.
Gonna chop and flip the bars too - this was a low end model back in the day so not too fussed about butchering the parts a tiny bit.

you'd think that, but check out this:

i'm gonna try that next time i think. might or might not work, only one way to find out. and only liars don't like beer.
I don't like Bud or Becks (and the fact they don't match). A couple of Theakstons Old Peculier though...

That'll be the Sumatra Sidikalang? Cafetiere is ideal, you needn't miss out on anything. The banana and cider apple are at the acid end of the flavour scale, so make sure you're cooling the water well before brewing - open the lid of the kettle and let it stand for about 3 mins. Grind really coarse, go for 60g/l dose and steep for 4-5 mins and you should be getting all that good stuff rom it
Nice one thanks, yes that's the coffee. Tried the above today and it's a very different brew to yesterday.
Will a similar approach bring out more blackcurrant and liquorice in the Kenyan Peaberry i've got?

Interesting... have never been able to work out what this is, closest got was pointing to Holdsworth. Again, track dropouts but frame has cable run and is drilled for brakes.
Frame number is 118592
OP - Hope you get the answer you're looking for!
