From what i've read/ridden the CAAD9 outperforms very little.
The Treks and Boardmans won. I even preferred the Alu Team Boardman, thats why i bought one.
BikeRadar prefer the Boardman too.

**CAAD (and a load of other alu frames) have higher BB, headtube and fork compliance than Focus Cayo and way more than Specialized Tarmac.

** Roadbike.de Conclusion summarised: "Alu is the preferred material at this pricepoint, compromises have to be made to get carbon frames under the 2k mark. Winner is alu Red Bull, then alu Canyon, Radon, Stevens. Carbon Focus Cayo is noted as decent."

The point is, groupset and wheelset is nice and all on the Boardman, but the first thing you have to upgrade will be the frame... With CAAD9/S1, the frame is top spec with numerous pro tour wins... :)

CAAD9 is the best frame at that price, but you'll have Tiagra (eww) until you upgrade... Otherwise its cheap carbon

I think last year CAAD9 with 105 was £999 but they increased the prices for the '10 models..

The stock levels on the website are all lies, and the polite phonecall/email (2 days later) to inform you the item isn't in stock doesn't make up for it. Everyone else has live real time stock levels...

The service is crap as well, order on thursday and send on monday, after paying for 1st class mail, when others post for free...

CRC, Probikekit send 1st class immediately the day after you order...

Companies like Parker will die with this shitty slow service they provide... Goodbye Parker, one less customer...
