I have (and love) my vaga hat.
Compared to my ciele hat the fabric has not weathered so well through multiple washes (bobbling) however my ciele hat still looks new.
On a slight side note my ciele hat fits slightly deeper and pushes on my ears a bit, but I got a new one for Christmas and it’s a little shallower which I’m very happy about

Set to on the steerer with a file and then steel wool. Seems to have done the trick. Still VERY tight but it went in okay.
Had half a roll of white bar tape kicking about after taping some TT extensions in spring, so got that on in 10 mins I don’t really have on my way to work this morning.
Just the elusive chainset to come really. Got some pending offers which are a bit fancier than I’d planned. Whole build definitely looking less ratty than planned but it won’t be long before the white tape gets dirty at least.

Bought for my Mercian but prefer another set.
Unused since purchase (but purchased second hand)
Show signs of use but run true and bearings are good. Overall very good condition. Nothing to note.
I bought them for £88
Yours for £80
Complete with cog and lock ring.
Based in Bristol. Will be in London in Jan, but otherwise can post at cost.

Popped the drops on for a look and I definitely prefer it. Also picked up a pretty well used but cheap chainring for £10.
Was having trouble getting the stem down into the steerer though - anyone else experienced this? It’s a cinelli stem. The SR was snug but went in okay - the cinelli won’t go in past an inch and leaves scratches?

I also found in the attic a veloce rear brake - which I will steal the pad holders from as I think I have some carbon pads which will maybe fit. And a generic (cheap) track chain.
I forgot - I also picked up a cinelli stem at the jumble as I have some cinelli criteriums somewhere so I have a drop option too.

Looks like we’re going ratty initially at least.
Went down to my first Bristol bike jumble. It was small but the punters were definitely keen, had to get my elbows out a bit! I so narrowly missed out on a black quill stem in a freebies box, but picked up some uncut Tioga risers for £3, and an Ultegra front brake (sans brake pads) for £10.
By chance I found an old custom quill in the attic (in a box full of lightbulbs 🤷🏻) and some old grips which were on my moulton APB in household tool box, so I pretty much have a ratty cockpit ready to go (and I think there might be a brake lever in the airing cupboard maybe.)
Until writing this I’m not sure I was accepting of how chaotic I am.

It was St Philips tip.
I actually caught the guy taking it out of his boot, had it been in the skip already you can forget about it!
The seatpost was apparently seized and they used heat to try and free it. Hence the paint being stripped.
Thanks for the offer man. I’m keeping it ratty and real for a while but may get a respray in the future. Cheers -

@Foreigner65 also hooked me up with mudguards, so that’s definitely on the cards until summer at least!

I would like to run a marathon. If not this year then training up towards it so I can run one next year.
I just missed 1000km this year. I think I’d like to hit that.
More than that I’d like to run injury free for the year, having this year suffered from runners knee, and shin splints, and am currently laid up with a ligament strain in lower back (sedentary Christmas related rather than running related.)
Funnily enough I scraped the sub 20 5k last year AFTER picking up shin splints and basically taking a month off. The splints happened just before I was due to start tapering towards the 5k race so probably the best time it could’ve happened and I guess I was really well rested!
