Arghh thats annoying. It is a similar situation on my winter road bike.. which I build before designing the cages. Unfortunately there is not much I can do to change the design. Slightly longer slot could be a possibilty but it compromises aesthetics.
Actually @Maj 's bike is the same on the seat tube as I finalised the design of the cages right after making Marge. I filled the slots longer to have the cage clear the downtube.

The "rail" is defined by the shape of the yoke and sort of the easiest softest route through the yoke. The circular cross section is ø7mm ID for nice clearance for the cable/hose at the end of the channel the cross section is ø12mm to make it easier to guide the cable through. Using the sweep along rail command gives it this organic truncated look. Which I kind of like. It fits the outer appearance well I think. I've only been using SubD (and T-spline in fusion) modelling for a couple of years, but since we are 3D printing more and more I try to embrace to more organic look logic.
I call it The Cor Yoke as it reassembles a heart/organ a bit.
The 3d printing facility hasn't gotten back to us yet. But if the mini voids are a problem we will probably just make that part solid. They take care of all internal mesh structures anyways

Well, it's my take on a Max top tube really. I like the tapering in a horizontal plane towards the seat tube, but in a Max top tube it also tapers in a vertical plane towards the head tube, and that often doesn't work for me with oversized head tubes at least. Looks out of balance imo.
So... I make my own from a round OD31.8mm top tube normally, or in this case a Zona OD28.6mm.
It also offers me an opportunity to do the little fish mouth transitions as the top tube ends up wider than the seat tube. And I have found that this little non-functional detail spark great joy with me. I love looking at it and I love making it... For some strange reason. The frame is totally undersized in tubing diameters as per my normal tube selections. @Pish and I have had a great chat about how he can get a lighter and more comfortable ride suited to his physique. I am sad I will never get to try and feel how it's going to ride, but I have great faith in what we are trying to achieve here. Tubes are a mix of Spirit and Zona and I think it will be a great loooong distance bike.

How about one of those August barrel nut solutions?
