Very cheap Anderton's own brand (I think) thing: https://www.andertons.co.uk/eastcoast-basses/eastcoast-mb4-bass-pearl-white
Figured if I buy it, decide it's not for me and sell it on it won't be a significant loss.
My only concern was the active pickup battery life but apparently they're normally good for 100's of hours

fettling the SG. Hadn't realised that the intonation ws a total mess
I utterly despise the faff of setting intonation of those bridges. Having to remove the string and pop it back on between making adjustments because the screw is in line with the string seems like such a baffling design choice.
Also being constrained by only being able to set the string height using two screws instead of per-string (though that's a more understandable design choice than the intonation screws).
Definitely not knowledgeable enough to comment on their impact on playability, but from a maintenance point of view I hate those bridges.

amazed tsunoda didnt just limp back to the pits for a new tyre so early on?
Was quite a whack with a fair bit of bodywork ripped off: https://twitter.com/TeamLH44JAPAN/status/1703520197653721531?t=WAqC9AFAFTQ9IAZtbJlcIw&s=19

I reckon the RB effect will last for rest of season, but they'll still find themselves on podiums.
It's long been analysed that their flexible wing elements were giving them huge advantages. Watching them slide around in qualifying is probably a one off for the season, but I hope the days of Max vanishing once he's passed the leader like in Spa are over.
I'd happily bet against this. Think the TD chat is being blown way out of proportion and Singapore has been the bogey track of dominant cars a few times in the past.
Would be interested to see any of the flexible wing analysis, would be massively surprised if it was significantly different to other teams.

Yep, 3 hole tip is useless. Like @Goyt said, an M6 acorn nut with a small hole drilled in is much better.
I tried a few off-the-shelf single-hole tips and they all had issues with steam leaking from under the threads so just went with an acorn nut.

It's from the Switch version, so 720p @ 30fps. I believe the full console versions are going to be 1080p @ 60fps.
But yeah, not a massive improvement on the old HD Collection IMO.
I'm mostly planning to pick it up so I can have it on my Switch as opposed to digging out (and charging) my Vita.
To confuse matters further, on top of this version. There's also a proper remake of MGS3 on the cards:

Also, just spotted this video covering the new collection titled "17 Minutes of Metal Gear Solid 3 Gameplay"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D10VRI0SAJg
16 minutes of cutscenes, 1 minute of gameplay...

Ah that makes sense.
I've been in a similar position a few times. I state my opinion, give reasons for that opinion, and leave it at that. (More often than not, my opinion is "Home espresso is more faff than it's worth, don't bother")
I don't mind people asking a few questions but this feels more like the sort of guy who'll bring his bike in for a service and continuously ask the mechanic why he isn't doing things the way he thinks they should be done.

Can confirm, did the boiler gasket for the first time since I got it around 5 years ago. Was basically baked on at that point (and was mostly removed via a blade). After having fitted a new one, and tightening everything up, needed a bit more tightening a few times (presuming the seals are getting compressed a bit). But aside from that it's all pretty simple.
Depends where you are, I was able to see the rings on Jupiter & the red spot from Crystal Palace with my pretty basic 130mm telescope (https://www.harrisontelescopes.co.uk/acatalog/skywatcher-heritage-130p-flextube-dobsonian-telescope.html).
Also managed to get some excellent sights of Saturn and its rings looking out the window of my kitchen in Peckham!
I'm very much a bit of a sceptic when it comes to the sorts of smart telescopes that have recently been posted in this thread. I do see the appeal, and it's cool that they're a sort of all-in-one image capture + image stacking device. But for me, I just want to look through a lens and/or mirror and see something, for lack of a better word, real.
Yeah, it's a bit annoying that my simple Dobsonian needs rotated in two different axes to keep track of a planet at any reasonable magnification, and there's always a bit of shaking as a result of moving it. But, seeing these things that are significantly larger than our own planet fall through space in real time is part of the magic IMO.
For me, and I don't want to come across all "Old man yells at cloud", but if you're using something like that just to take pictures of a nebula or whatever, it's probably a safe bet that someone with much better equipment has already taken much better photos of the very same thing you're looking at.
Again, absolutely horses for courses. But I'm very much on the simple/basic side of things, getting the planisphere out and trying to figure out what the hell I'm looking at is part of the fun.
