For sale is my set of Planet X wheels from my triathlon race bike. They have only been used for races so very limited mileage - 4/5 races for three seasons. Most of those have been going in circles at Dorney lake so very limited braking and very limited wear to the brake tracks. Only other thing to note is a small cosmetic scratch on the front wheel (see pics). Bearings all run very smooth.
Rims: 82/101 carbon tubular
Hubs: Planet X Superlight SRAM/Shimano 10 speedPrice: £350... Dropped to £250

Trying to decide what tubulars for a new set of wheels coming in the next couple of days.
On my list so far are:
- Veloflex Carbon
- Vittoria Corsa Evo CX
- Continental Comp
- Continental Sprinter Gatorskins
They will be used for club rides, sportives and races if I ever get my act together. Think both the Veloflex and Comp are out of budget if I'm being realistic.
So gatorskins or Evos? I feel like its a bit pointless getting tubulars and then going for mega puncture protection in the gatorskins or will they be better feel wise than I think?

i thought i would have to fix the noodle in place somehow but the tension from the gear cable means that it doesn't move at all, even in the slackest gear.
^^^^^^^ there's not much I could find online about resizing internal hubs, but my understanding is you can only do it effectively with roller brake hubs, like this, not disc, which i'm guessing your alfine would be. taking off the roller brake (or removing the bolt that sits in its place) takes away a big deal, bringing it does to around 126mm. From there you only have to swap the non-drive-side lock nut for one of the thinner ones that are standard on shimano rear hubs. This makes it 122-3mm which easily fits without cold setting. Of course the dish and chain-line gets messed up with all this but i've compensated with an extra short bb.
Kevin you're right about the ratios. at the moment i've got 32/16 which makes the lowest gear at 28.5gi completely useless. I want to change to a 36t ring up front which would give me a top gear of 98.1. At the moment i'm riding on the flat in 6th and 7th, so it would be good to bring this further into the middle.
Been planning to build up an internal gear hub wheel for touring on my Pompino for ages.
Is the approach below similiar to what you did?
Source Alfine roller brake hub (rather than disk brake hub or no brake hub)
Remove roller brake parts
Swap non-drive side lock nut for standard shimano one like the one below:
