Saracen limited edition 18"ctc

I bought the other week being told it was an 19" so it is a bit small for me unfortunately.

From looking at old catalogues it looks like a 89/90 but I can't find any reference to this limited edition model.

A bit tatty condition on some of the parts but you can ride away.The paint work is pretty sweet still. Great for a functional /commuter/tourer/cruiser.

I want to add a mid fork mount to an 80's 531 fork. I'd like to drill the tube and braze in a recessed bottle cage style boss.

My question is will they be strong enough? With older forks you often see a pannier mount brazed to the front of the fork. Were modern forks have the more aesthetically pleasing recessed mount. Any one know why?

The fork isn't butted and I could even add a little reinforcing plate. Will it work?

I'm in a similar position. I've been looking at the alpkit pipedream 400 and the seatosummit treeline t11. Are they any better quality than the decathlon? I was about to make the plunge on the alpkit until I read the reviews and a few people said it is not as warm as they claim.

The decathlon looks to have the most feathers but not the lowest temperature rating. Are they just bullshitting less.

Yeaaa you're right. I had kinda thought of the ethics but price blurred my vision. Just need to make the plunge and spend the money.

How accurate are the temperature guides. I have a cheaper robens synthetic sleeping bag and the guide is well off.

I just put an order in order for oxygen from adamsgas.co.uk. Only £12 delivery in South London but it is a bit more in central. Hobby size 9l bottle was around £40 with 55 deposit.

A lot of places seemed to charge £60 delivery so can make a good saving.

Propane you can get from most garages

I'm looking into making my first frame. I'm going to buy an oxy propane /propylene torch and get rent free bottles from gasuk.

Is it worth getting propylene over propane because it burns hotter. Does it work out significantly more expensive?

Does the ease of getting propane outweigh propylenes extra heat. As an amateur will i even notice the difference?

I'm leaning towards the heavy duty set as i feel it might be more robust but will the light duty be better for getting in tight spaces?

There is also this option which is a little cheaper.

Any extras I should get with it? A few other nozzles?
