Bags as well aye!? I couldn't do any frame building over lock down, so had a go at making some bags. Made this one a couple months ago and is probably my best.
I didn't have any colours that matched the frame exactly so went for a bit of a clash. Ended up going for pink but tried not to make it to girlie.
Had to leave space for using the downtube shifters but it's still big enough to get a lock and bits in.

Going to try keep this updated a bit better.
Got some new bits for my first frame. Changed to mini v's as I was getting a bit of chatter from the front brake and they didn't stop as well as I wanted. Bit of a shame because they looked cooler.
I wasn't getting on with 44cm bars and a mate at work gave me some he wasn't using. Only a little smaller at 42 but still allows me to carry systainer tool box on the front. They also came with the old tektro brake levers which look sweet.
Pretty happy with it so far. Still trying some different length stems to get it spot on. Eventually want to make my own with built in spacers.

Can't find his name on here but here is his instagram post. If we are thinking of the same one.
@PhilDAS think you could ask a ritchey for the downtube clamp and fabricate the seat post bit your self? I've never seen the down tube connection up close, presumably it has some lip on it. Probably quite hard to do though.

Yes, you are right. Just looked at my order and they are 12v ones. Thanks for working it out.
The light flickers when the wheel turns but I put that down to me turning the wheel by hand and I thought it would have a constant beam once peddling. I presume it will always do this because of the ac supply.
Anyone want a e-bike light? Got 2 going cheap.

I'm struggling to figure out how I wire this cheap aliexpress light with a rear light.
I've test wired it like pictured by holding black and yellow to the connectors and both lights work.
I'm confused as what the red cable is for as it doesn't seem to do anything. I originally thought it was for connecting the rear light to but that doesn't work.
Is the rear light okay to be spliced directly to the cable from the dynamo? I was under the impression it couldn't take the full power so needed to be wired from a front light but can't see an obvious way to do that.

I think Brooks will exchange no problem but I have to do it through sjs and they said it could take a couple months.
It's a shame because I find it really comfy and if you could put a loaded up saddle bag on it would be a cherry on top.
Maybe just use it with those bolt on loops? What saddle would you use instead, leather Brooks?

Thanks for the info, that is promising.
I felt the other way. I thought the forks might be a write off and the frame would be okay.
You can bend lugs in the building process to get different angles so is this similar to that? Or are the tubes under different tension now with potential of failure.
I haven't a real clue either. Maybe it can be wall art now as it only fits with a lanky stem.

I had a crash the other day which has bent my forks. I've just noticed cracked paint around the headtube lugs too.
Normally frames bend at the tube but this is at the lug. It's only noticeable because of the stressed paint. Is it safe to ride with a new fork?
Is it safe to braze in new fork blades into the old crown? It doesn't appear to be damaged.
Only reason I am considering this is the bike was my grandpa's which I was slowly restoring with some upgrades. So there is some sentimental value involved.
I'll take the mudguards please.
