Um, i've had one volunteer to house people for the Euros. Step up yo. I've personally crashed at houses in Berlin, MCR, and Paris in the last few months, all at bike events. Good connections. Good karma, to the extent that such exists.
Represent London. We probably need a dozen people to house a team for four days. Please email me or pm me. Email is better. mgvidal@gmail.com.

Our super secret team night last Weds was awesome. It was Cosmic, Zombie, Rotten and Malice, with some subs. We played timed games and I figured out this sort of permutation for playing games. Instead of throw ins, we just pics for letters (A,B,C, etc.) and follow this chart. Each round allows every team to play every other team.
Permutations of games with set numbers of teams
Each team will play every other team one time in Round 1, and then play them all again in Round 2. Times for sessions are based on 10 minute games.
Three teams: 6 games (1 hour)
Round 1: A.B, A.C, C.B,
Round 2: B.A, B.C, C.A,Four teams: 12 games (2 hours)
Round 1: A.B, C.D, D.B, A.C, B.C, A.D,
Round 2: A.C, B.C, A.D, A.B, C.D, D.BFive teams: 20 games (3 hours, 20 minutes)
Round 1: A.B, C.D, E.A, B.C, D.E, C.A, B.D, A.D, E.B, C.E,
Round 2: C.A, B.D, A.D, E.B, C.E,, A.B, C.D, E.A, B.C, D.E, -

Shame the NE lot seam to have given up on south's for their secret NE sessions.
Super secret.
What do y'all think of this plan?
Tuesday: Team night at Mitch; throw-ins at Downham
Wednesday: Souths throw-ins (Newington)
Thursday: NE throw-ins (Mitch) -

Max, I book last week and we pay £130 each return, for no bags in the check in but with the bike
Maybe now prices are upBeware. We just flew to Berlin on BMI, which allows a bike as checked baggage for free. However, because the flight was to Germany, Lufthansa operated the BMI flight, and those fuckers charged use 70 Euros per bike to fly back to London.
They said this happens with all airlines in Germany.

@joe - Who's your second?
Are you going to make it to London on your Euro trip?

;730720']Absolutely, it was a blast! All the complaints aren't directed towards you, Miguel. It's just the fact that the polo was a side-event. There wasn't really a way around that and I think you did an excellent job considering.
I really want to go back to Berlin for a proper tourney. Miguel, please give my thanks to Marc, Phil and everybody else who helped you out.
+1
Graet to meet you, Miguel. You and your team did great, given the circumstances.

Sounds like this plan is working for a lot of people:
Tuesday: Team night at Downham/Mitch
Wednesday: Souths throw-ins
Thursday: NE throw-ins (Mitch)I would prefer Mitch for Tuesday Team Night too, because it is bigger. How about if we do this, and then randome ones and twos can cobble together a team at Mitch, and other poeople can play throw-ins at Downham if they like?

The best European teams (including BAD) are better than the best of the London teams, but not by much. For us to be able to consistently beat them, we'll definitely need to start playing serious team games regularly.
Let's sort out team nights here.

I can do Tues, Weds or Thurs. Weds would likely exclude BAD and make us have to miss Souths, both of which would suck. On the other it would work great for some smaller, more serious practices.
Should we try to sort something like:
Tuesday: Team night at Downham
Wednesday: Souths throw-ins
Thursday: NE throw-ins (Mitch)
Mike: It would be great if you could cut mine into two pieces. I can pick them up on Saturday at the tourney.
