Hi all. The Islington Councillors have gotten a planning amendment to move the lights for Mitch back to 9pm. I've written a letter on behalf of the LHBPA and have a list of 42 names attached to it. Please can you confirm that you would like to include your name -- or let me know if you want it taken off.
The letter and list of names is here: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13970423/
I need full names and correct locations for (and agreement from) these folks:
Jakub – Hackney
Mya ? – Hackney
Will ? – Hackney
Benjamin – Southwark
Piotr - Southwark
Felix ? - Southwark
Charlie ? - Southwark
Danielle ? - Southwark
French Max ? - Southwark -

You don't need to wait to see. This is how the league has been run for seven of nine years. Forfeits were enforced in all but the first year and the ninth year.
In many years, all games were played. In other years, there have been a few forfeits because one or two teams were very hard to schedule -- forfeits were given quite appropriately in these cases. Last year was an anomaly in that many teams did not finish games, but this was due to them not being scheduled by the teams (and lack of whip cracking by the league manager, perhaps), rather than any forfeits being given to teams who really wanted to play.

I know you anarchists think chaos is great or that people can spontaneously organize themselves with little hippy meetings run on consensus. ;) But that's not the way it works. If there were no fixture windows, then the league would be absolute chaos and the games would not get played.
The games didn't get played last year with fixture windows. Without set fixtures and deadlines, it would only be worse. Soon you will learn that Lenin was right.

Fyi, I've sent the letter in support of the Mitch planning amendment, signed by 43 real London polo players. The deadline for responses is 7 Dec. Fingers Cross. Thanks all for signing.
