You're right. I vote top tube.

I move that the default goal height be 700c wheel height or the height of the cones, whichever is higher. If there is an actual goal on the court, and cones are not being used, then the goal height is the height of top goal post.

(Top tube height might be a bit more ideal, but it is not standard like 700c.)

The I Bike MCR 2009 D.I.Y Grassroots Festival takes place from Friday 27th
March to Friday 24th April 2009 and as part of it we are holding our
annual Bike Polo Tournament.

On Sunday 19th April

Teams are welcome from everywhere and the prizes are gonna be great. It
will be so great for teams from around the UK and further afield to get
together and meet each other, and to play in a city other than London!

If you are from out of town please let us know if you want us to find you
a place to stay and how many nights you'll be staying. There's quite a lot
going on that weekend including:

Friday 17th April
Keirin Race Night
No not a proper one, instead we get to watch footage of keirin racing and
bet on who we think will win. Those who pick the correct winner will win
the pot!
Followed by a game of F.I.X.E.D to practise tricks for tomorrows Yo Fixie

Saturday 18th April
Yo Fixie. A fixed only comp with events inc. Trackstand, Skid, Elimination
Race etc.

Sunday 19th April
Bike Polo Tournament

There'll be much partying after the events too.

We will be posting rules and updates on so check there regularly. It will
be hardcourt polo with 3 people playing to a team. The rules we'll be

It's on fuckers. Last night some people were estimating up to 30 players for the NYD Throwin Throwdown. So you need to get there by noon to make it for registration. (Roxy and Mike: What is your ETA?)

I'm going to start bringing two or three mallets to each game. Ray carries two mallets too and others are starting to. Two each is a good goal so we can always have enough mallets. Fools that want to play just need to bring a bike.

If anybody is interested in graphite golf clubs for polo mallets, i have a couple of extras. I would be willing to trade a finished golf club mallet for a ski pole.
