Ther is a small hole rubbed in the cotton duck as pictured. However it's in the reinforced bit that sits over the wheel so it has not gone through to the second layer. Still waterproof and super durable bag.

Great backpack, in excellent condition, not heavily used. Mine had a embroidered logo on the front which I cut out and then repaired with a waterproof patch, it's not the most beautiful of jobs but doesn't affect it functionally, you could always put another patch/sticker over it if it bothers you.
