The top of Baker Street where Regents Park joins has been closed which is very helpful for cyclists wanting to go through the West End after a few laps of Regents Park. No room to even squeeze a bike through so pavement riding is necessary.
I am still trying to figure out what you are supposed to do round Buckingham Palace and Bird Cage Walk. Again, cycling on the pavement may be the only sensible optionTried turning out of the outer circle at the mosque?

You say you breathe every 4/6 . Which is it mostly ?
Mostly 6, switch to 4 when I am in need of more oxygen.
I have the chance for a long swim tonight so will try 5 strokes and both sides.
Aiming for a 2.5k swim, with half front crawl and half breast stroke. For me that is a lot.
(BTW: thanks for the replies.....)

New to this thread...
been swimming more since I packed in the commuting due to length of journey - distance was not the problem, just boredom at the dreadful route and amount of time it took. (17 miles eachway)
anyway.....
cracked my front crawl last week - did 1km in a 25m pool without stopping. Had previously only managed 250m max before switching to breast stroke.
now to the questions:
I can breathe on both sides, but prefer to breath to the left and do so on every 6th or 4th stroke. should I adapt to a shorter cycle and use both sides? or just stick to what works?
what is the general opionion of nose clips?

This is in the safety and product info leaflet that comes with a BB.
Rules out a few hot countries from their market.
"Do not use your BlackBerry smartphone in surrounding temperatures that exceed
95° F (35°C). Use above this surrounding temperature could cause your
BlackBerry smartphone to become hot, which could result in serious injury,
death, or damage to property." -

The moment when I realised the guy who was overtaking me was swerving in front of me and was definitely going to take out my front wheel at speed. I think he indicated after he hit me at least.
Then a double oh shit because of the frame I was carrying across my back on my messenger bag and which I was now lying on top of; firstly and most importantly oh shit I wonder if the frame is OK, then oh shit I can't get up for a minute with this strapped to me, is the next car going to stop in time or will it just kill me?
Also as I'm pretty retarded when it comes to injuries someone tell me if I should do/not do anything to my finger (picture)? I can move it but it hurts and it's pointing off to the side a bit.
it could be dislocated or broken. not much to be done in either case, but if dislocated should be set back in socket. you will get laughing gas if you are lucky.

One problem with 3G / Wifi Kindle is that they do not automatically switch from wifi to 3g when the configured wifi is not available.
This was a problem as I was in an area with no wifi at all, and would be a problem if there was only protected wifi.
To get round this you need to override the default setting of 'automatic' for selecting which wifi connection to use and manually select the correct 3G one.
This can take several time consuming iterations. But instructions are here.
Luckily I found what to do on my blackberry as that was the only internet connection i had available.

having said that there have been people on this forum who have said that riding the bow flyover / junction is not a problem / is good fun.
More accurate to say that compared to using the roundabout it is the better option to use the flyover. The entry and exit are challenging on occasion, the surface is not great and the wind can be tricky as well.
