I cant say its one I've ever thought about though... we do both have wills, and are both freelancers so there's no big employee pay outs to be had but we should probably make sure there are no other implications!

If you have a will you are probably ok.....that is one think my wife and I need to do, especially given we have kids.

agree with you - but you need to be sure that in the event of one of you dying that the surviving partner is entitled to things like pension & death in service benefits from the employer of the dead partner.

not the most romantic thought - but if you have no kids - it is possible your legal next of kin might be that wanker of a brother you have not spoken to in 20 years, annoying if he walks off with 4 times your annual salary, whilst your wife gets nothing

I had three weddings spanning 5 days over 3 months and two countries (all to the same person) there must have been close to 1000 people attend in total and one of them went on for three days.....

OK - I did not have to pay for them (nor could I) it must have cost my father in law close to £70K for them......but the stress was enough for me & the wife.

tbh only one of them I would do again, and that was the first one which we counted as our wedding day and that day will always remain up there with the birth of my children.

Unsubstantiated, but maybe not a fataility.....
