I am in my final year of a photography degree, realising that the degree itself means nothing when taken as a reflection of your photographic skills. For example here are some quotes from people in the third year of a photography degree:
"how do I put my Nikon D200 (that mummy and daddy got me) into manual focus?"
" I decided not to shoot film because the shots were coming out all blurry"
"I shot this project in black and white on a camera phone to give it a Film Noir look"
"I wish I had got a canon it would take better pictures"
I can go on and on, and these people are coming out with better marks than me because they can write about there work in a more theoretical way (oh and they use film which the uni loves and I cant use in the situations I shoot most of my stuff in).
bring on that piece of paper so I can say fuck u to all the outdated failed photographers who call themselves lecturers.

My Dad owns a damp proofing company and ive worked there for years. Sounds like it could just be condensation. Is it full on lumpy black mould or just black spots? If its just spots, a dehumidifier should solve it.
the water is coming through the walls and they are full on wet, it is a lot more than just condensation which I have seen in previous flats. The mold is at the moment just black spots but they are all over a space of around 3 meters.
Just got off the phone to the landlord and they basically said, well do you want to leave, I said no as I like the flat but they are now putting it as a priority and reducing my rent.

Right our flat has a huge damp problem, I informed the property managment over a month ago of the problem and they sent a guy round who basically said:
"oh well thats bad, let me remove all the wallpaper and hopefully it will dry out so we can start work on it"
well he did remove all the wallpaper but this just meant the damp spread, and turned into mold.
This has now become so bad that breathing is impossible in that corner of the flat and constant eye irritation is occurring as well as being able to feel it in the back of my mouth and lungs. I have spoken to the property management 3 times a week and they keep saying it is being sorted etc... and aparently the landlord is trying to get a contractor to repair work they did last year which is causing the damp problem, but this might take another week or two.
My girlfriend is highly asthmatic and this is irritating that, and the mold has turned black which I believe is toxic mold, so what are peoples suggestions, I just threatened to call enviromental health on them and told them they would not get rent until it gets sorted they just kinda said that we would have creditors called on us if we did not pay rent.
advice please lovely people
thanks

saw this place the other day and it made me feel sick inside, do we get a vote on what to name places? surely we should if we can publically see her god awful name on the side of a building.
