How light?

1700g frame, 360g fork. The full bike with Ultegra and a strada>A 23 wheelset is around 7.4kg

We're not quite sure what's going on if I'm honest... but I do know people are trying to fix it! The new website is getting close, but it isn't ready for launch yet....

It's as light as the carbon offerings out there. It costs the same. It's steel! What's not to love? ;)

^ When I spoke to Ison distribution in January, they told me that Tokyo fixed had pre-ordered the 1st & only 24" Ogre frame, coming in around the end of March. They did say that another two 24" framesets were coming in at the end of June, so I put a deposit on one soon after. I'm 6'7" & the ETT of the Ogre seemed to work out just what I was after. I do ride a Long haul trucker in 62cm & have considered the new 64cm, but it doesn't seem worth the bother.

Don't mind waiting for the frame, as I've had a lot on since then & wouldn't have had time to ride it.

I can only assume that you are that lucky guy at TF. By the looks of your other bikes, it would appear that the frame went to a good home! look forward to seeing the build.

Just posted this in the 29er thread as well. Very similar to what I'm hoping to build.

I've got an Ogre sat in a box (24", natch) But It'll be a long time before I build it up!

Head out to Hackney, up the river lea to Gunpowder Park then take the road opposite the visitors centre up to High Beach. There is a reasonable pub at High Beach.

Sounds pretty good, are there paths along the side of the river?

Also, best pub for lunch in the forest?

Is there a relatively quiet route out there or are they all as bad as each other? I'll be leaving from Old Street ish.

JAMMY. really like your build...... can i ask how you find the gear set up? is it a single 52 chainwheel? 10 speed on the rear? chain ever come off? i'm just asking, as i run 1x10, have had no problems so far. know some people would not advise this without a bash guard and deda dog fang.

I'm running 48 on the front and 11-28 on the back. A little on the quick side, but I'm having no problems with the chain coming off. Chances are I'm going to put a front mech and a double on it at some point... but it's fine for now.

microtex soft touch is only any good if you're a bike tart and don't get any miles in. It'll be perfect for all your HHSBs. :D

Regular microtex will last five times the mileage.

They're Velocity A23s. Not the strongest, but I wanted something light and that little bit wider...

My modern rando Crosscheck is all buttoned up. 10.8kg, full bike (minus handlebar bag) Pretty pleased!
