Noted, cheers. My understanding is that 986.1 don't tend to suffer from bore score, it's more IMS that is a worry, so looking at ones that either have had it replaced or due a new clutch, in which case will get it done and upgraded with clutch.

I think I am going to start looking for an early manual 986.1 Boxster S instead of a 996 given that it appears relatively easy to get a decent one for 10k or less rather than the 20k plus for a 996, which seems hard to justify given I will probably only do 1 or 2k a year in it...

That's what is what's thinking, prices have risen a bit in the past few years then.

Also contemplating a cooking 996 or a boxster s , but probably not till the summer after I have sorted the garage out.

996 prices seem to vary wildly. What do I need to budget for a basic manual coupe? Not fussed if it's c2 or c4 and cosmetic condition is far less of a concern than mechanical.

It being a garage, could it just be damaged from being driven into at some point?

Update on the wiim mini.

Was pretty underwhelmed initially with the audio until this morning when the update was released to do bit perfect output (was 16bit 48khz before). So, so much better now.

They also released a fixed volume output which was another annoyance as before it would reset to 50% sometimes.
