Yeah, I know it's all El Primero this and that these days but IIRC Zenith still hold the patent for a "Pilot" watch and are apparently still the only brand allowed to put "Pilot" on the dial.

It's quite a well known historical style for pilots' watches from the very earliest days of flying (notably by Zenith), but one of the most famous examples of it is this IWC style from the 1930s which I think is what Patek were imitating:

A few places have the really nice SPB313 diver for a fiver under £600 at the moment, which is a steal. That’s the most compact proper Seiko diver I think.

Yeah, that’s why I moved away from eBay and started using C24 (for watches) and Reverb (for music gear), the quality of the buyers and sellers. Both have raised their fees a lot over time though.

I guess they don't make money on the majority of stuff now, I suspect it's a temporary initiative to retain / regain users that they're losing to newer competitors.

So, these eBay changes. I saw they were promoting the free to sell thing, but I didn't realise that meant literally, actually, free. Not even a final price fee / percentage. I sold the SLA017 over the weekend, shipped it yesterday, it arrived at the authenticator today (no charge for the authentication service), they released the funds this afternoon, and it hit my bank account about 60 seconds after I requested the withdrawal. Completely free of charges. Wild. Would have cost hundreds of pounds on C24.
Which is the point, right? They're trying to squish the marketplace upstarts like Reverb, C24, Vinted, Depop etc.

Most of that kind of stuff ends up on eBay. There’s Omega Forums but you need a lot of post history to post sale ads there and I doubt you’d get a better price than on eBay.
