can the previous messages about r_in be deleted?
anyways these are beautiful, i doubt postie could do anything in time for any of you. (my feet are too big)
Do it Blue Peter style...take one pair Clarks mens shoes...one Black and Decker drill and go mental on the shoes...hey presto!
Make sure you check with a responsible adult before using the drill...oh wait...that's me fucked then!

Option 4...don't give money. Give your time. Brucy if you're so botheted about corruption and misuse and this offends your delicate moral ideals then MTFU and give up your time. Come and join me for 6 months in Kenya starting 2nd April.
I'll be teaching kids english, adults about sustainable development and monitoring the use of charitable resources in the field.

I can assure everyone with any concerns about fixed gear riding being the current zenith of cool....with me astride a saddle attached to a non-freewheeling motional mechanism, I have personally just brought the 'scene' crashing back down to earth with a squeal of rubber and a crash of spanners
ithankyou

And here..
"Rugby? Who want's to go to Rugby?"
Well, all I can say is I hope Teddy has his map....because according to H H England, editor of 'Cycling', a cycle tour without a map is like new potatoes without the smell of mint....well quite!

:) cheers for the suggestions, i am thinking of giving it a respray, but not sure cause the paint is rather great condition actually and i like the old school look of those lug highlights. Any colour suggestions? maybe ill change me mind
oh and making it into a 3speed is a good idea, was thinking of that. It also has a pump holder, maybe have to find a suitable pump for it:)
No to the respray, give it a bloody good clean, some t-cut and then a damn good polish. Bit of elbow grease will bring that up a treat.
As for the pump, there are vintage ones available on t'bay for a fiver.

I hope people have the correct drinks with them... pimms and G&T ftw.
Pimms....in JANUARY? Brrrraaaaahhhhh! Have you taken COMPLETE leave of your senses man?
I shall be partaking in a snifter or two of good honest port....doubly fortified with a dash of brandy.....meeeeeh!
That and a pipeful of good rough shag shall keep the cold out and my fortitude replete for the day.
As you were!

Holy poop on a stick thats a pricey bag! and very nice it is too.
Congrats to Teddy for sorting out sponsors and prizes, turning this from a mere well dressed jaunt to the social event of the season. A round of huzzahs will be in order on the day methinks.Whats the score with the prizes and such like, i assume there wont be time/space on saville for such frivolities so is there a contingent from Brooks meeting us at one of the respite stops?
I suspect Harry.Major could well be in the running for dapperest gent seeing as the man has a whole gentlemen's boutique to choose from!
Good luck to all, especially for the hotly contested facial hair prize. Will a delegation from the handlebar club be judging this one?
I may be in the running for 'bike most quickly assembled and untested ridden by a fixed gear novice' category. However, i doubt that such a contest exists. damn.If it does I'll be giving you a bloody good run for your money. I've only got handlebars so far so still a little way to go.

Got the Aran sweater Deep V's for my new build... it's looking pretty well I think but I can't decide on whether to get it powdercoated or keep the original finish...
Don't mess with that original finish...it's seriously nice....no one does double cross-stitch work like that these days (sigh)
ps slack top tube fail
