Porn for some... from BLB.
Had a moment contemplating a new wheel build... thought better of it.Hmmm, I noticed them, and am thinking yellow DVs, with yellow spokes and black hubs on a black frame. Bloke I was chatting too reckons it's easy enough to spokes your self with that enamel model paint (if you're the patient sort presumably.

Finally got my bike built up after what seems like months of preparation!
14 frame, with nice Columbus SL tubing, Sugino 75 chain set, Rigida wheels, and a beatiful set of vintage mooustache bars from Tour De Ville.
Only thing is the frame has an Ahead stem system, which I think spoils the look a bit (I'm a sucker for the aesthetics)... I've heard about a nice sleek Ahead stem, but I can't remember the brand...
Any suggetions?
Cheers.
Summat like this ?

european football in whichever guise is a good thing, and should be seen as such, I can only point to how much it is valued in europe - willing to be proven wrong on that point, and if you want to get into the rhythm of playing against foreign opposition the uefa's or europa cup from next season is where it's at.
Recent winners zenit st petersburg, sevilla, porto, feyenoord, cska moscow, valencia, some like sevilla, have become more established european competitors, as well as the confidence of winning/ doing well in the europe making them one of the four or five teams challenging for the spanish title, after winning the uefa, porto went onto win the champions league. Uefa is a place to get used to european competition, effective to lure foreign players to your team, shows ambition, and ultimately makes the team stronger, as you need to rotate players to be strong in both league and cup, meaning that the club as a whole progresses.
It could be argued that english teams should have won a lot more uefa cups recently than they have done, if the managers and fans had taken it more seriously, last finalist was middlesborough in 2006, and last winners liverpool in 2001Correct, it also provides opportunity for decent away days for fans, the most football based fun I've had in years was our game away to Schalke before Xmas. I really hope Villa don't get 4th after O'Neill played reserves in their last UEFA game.

You what! You never been to Maine Road then? Getting bricks and bottles chucked at you from smack'eads and car thieves - yeah, proper fans
Give over - unless you were going there in the 70s Maine Road was generally OK for an away fan. I don't miss it at all mind as it was a dump. A bit like Goodison, but not quite as bad.

Fixed and lycra for me. No guards for me neither. A winter road ride ain't a real road ride unless you finish it covered in mud and horseshit.
