Fuck's sake. Turn down £18mil last season and now let Barry go for £12mil without a fight. I know he only had a year left, but that seems like shit business.
And why choose Man City? Fuck all chance of being ahead of us next season. They'll have a few past-it big names doing bugger-all to earn a nice retirement fund, no teamwork and finish mid-table with West Ham and Fulham.
£10 says we do

I have a room going as a short let in my house as my flatmate is going home to Italy for the summer from the end of the month.
It's a stunning new build 3 bed, 2 bath top floor flat (6th floor)in Hackney wick with a massive south west facing balcony/roof terrace with amazing views of the City and Docklands skylines, 24H security, plenty of storage for bikes, workbench and tools available to use as well. there are four of us in the flat 2 guys and 2 girls, all fixed gear riders except one. we are 3 minutes from Victoria park, and next to the new Olympic stadium. The room itself is a good size with a double bed, and stays cool in the summer heat. We are looking for someone clean, respectful of others' space and with a good command of the english language.
the only bad news: It's a bit far out and not very well connected for public transport although you can get the overground line from Hackney Wick station, or DLR from Pudding Mill Lane and there are some buses, 276 and 488. For those who cycle it's perfect though, which is why I thought I'd put it on here- that, and I don't want to live with some complete random who just fell out of the Gum tree.
It's 475 per month fully inclusive, payable in advance. We have a Dishwasher, Freeview, 8MB Broadband, a washer dryer, etc. PM me if you want more info...
That's quite a long daily commute to Manchester though.

you could hardly say that cxp33 are bad in the wind, its a not worth mentioning really.
H+son on the other hand is an entierly different story...True. I've had CXP33s on my commuting bike for 4 years without any issue with crosswinds. Recently stuck a Shamal on the front, first windy day I was all over the shop.

BTW possible ride for this saturday is 55 miles around Cheshire (inc Jodrell Bank), doable fixed, however, weather forecast is heavy rain, so I may just stay in bed and listen to the rain lashing against the windows.

Would be up for a Leeds ride, if we do Cat and Fiddle (other way) as next ride, then go to Leeds for the next ride maybe ?

Bob Jacksons are supposed to be boring aren't they? for decades they have been the reserve of middle-aged bicycles enthusiasts and mudguarded nerds. it's bizarre that everyone suddenly has a hard-on over a bit of lugged steel.
+1 Until I discovered this site, it was only 20+ year members of CTC I ever saw on them

You couldn't make this shit up really, from the Manchester Evening News site: -
HEARTBROKEN United fans were defiant to the end as they made their way home from pubs and clubs after seeing their heroes fall short in Rome.
Thousands had gathered in the city centre and at Old Trafford but for once, this wasn't going to be their night.
As the final whistle blew in Rome to end United's historic quest for back-to-back champions League wins, strains of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Champions and We are the Busby Boys filled the night air.
Many of the fans had travelled from far and wide to soak up the home ground atmosphere.
Han Tan, 25, a media worker from North Carolina who had travelled to Old Trafford for the first time, said: "I came 6,000 miles for the game, I drove six hours to Washington DC, flew to Dublin and got here this evening."I was hoping for a parade tomorrow but I wouldn't give up this experience for the world. This is what United is about. It is about the passion for the game.
"Even after we have lost we are still United through and through."
Other fans could not hide their dismay.Alex Tucker, 26, a retail worker from Devon, said: "I am absolutely devastated. Barcelona didn't even play well."
Devastated
Alan Joey, 19, an engineer from County Kerry in Ireland, said: "It is unbelievable. It is crazy. Barcelona played defensively and deserved to win. When the first goal went in it went down hill from there. "Chris Horrocks, a 20-year-old plasterer from Blackpool, said: "I am gutted. We missed Fletcher in the middle and there was no determination."
Darryl Blair, 22, from Doncaster, said: "We were absolutely dreadful. The defence did not turn up. How many times can you give the ball to Messi in one night."
But some fans remained hopeful. Chantelle Finnegan, aged 10, from Gorton (Well done !), who went to Old Trafford with her mum, said: "I am devastated but we will be back next year."

Petrov is a possibility I believe, which is a shame because he can be brilliant. Richards will be staying a while longer to see if he can get back to his best, Johnson you wouldn't want.....
