Just a proper tray with a power socket solution in it would be a good start. I think weights would need to be hidden behind panelling or something (I can just imagine the weights under my sink that pull the hose thing down - they need a lot of room, so seeing it under my actual desk would be offensive. Also risk of snagging etc. Something magnetic? Maybe something on a spring - like a nerd bungee> https://www.endgamegear.com/en-gb/accessories/mouse-bungee

Obvs full neckbeard but I keep getting ads for this:

and didn't hate the idea of proper cable management. Not exactly like that but perhaps inspo. -

This is my next purchase I think: https://www.beetronics.co.uk/8-inch-monitor

I normally have either two things as if it's a dual monitor or three things (one either side and slightly bigger in the middle).
Are you physically resizing them to that point or is software doing it automatically? I wonder if a game would play in one side and a browser would open in another? Does the monitor/OS somehow compartmentalise them?

I keep hearing this but honestly I'm as busy this month as I've been in years. Quadruple booked so making hay while it shines by working through the nights. Shattered but should have a relaxed autumn. I've got several mid sized corporates, one decent commercial, a load of training shoots and some very high end corporate editing.
Obviously only a couple of months ago I had everything fall out at once and had nothing for the foreseeable but then it all fell together. So who knows what's going on.
Fwiw I don't use talent manager/other and all my stuff is basically repeat clients.

Monitor chat.
I wonder if I'm looking at things the wrong way. I've been holding out for something 'right' to come out and nothing has materialised.
I THINK I want a pair of 27" monitors, 1440p or higher, minimum 144hz (240 would be lovely). No big bezels/logos/physical switches on the front, no RGB gibberish.
A variant of the Dough Spectrum looks pretty solid to me but I'm advised by the resident bmx116 not to risk giving them money.
But DO I want a pair of 27" screens? My reasoning is so I can have editing software (realistically PUBG) on one screen and a script/brief/email/research whatever on the other.
But can you compartmentalise an ultrawide? What about performance? Where would I get the best performance? Two x 27" or an ultrawide? I'm presuming I don't want a regular 16:9 in 40" or something? If it's two x 27" monitors, I'd like both to be the same - ideally with some calibration so if I ever cross between windows with software my colours won't shift.
Who's using what? At home I'm currently on a single 27" 1080, 240hz screen which is absolutely fine for PUBG but I struggle with juggling work on it (though I do plug the editing monitor over a decklink, to a SmallHD Cine 13)

Feels like something where stains will be more visible.
I probably haven't used mine in 10 odd years. In fact one of the last times I can remember was at work (in the days before companies left fruit everywhere and had nespresso machines kicking about). I left a coffee puck on a plate in the kitchen and one colleague told another colleague that there was a brownie there for her. She was so excited and took a big old mouthful of ground coffee.
Sorry Gemma.

Deleted mine last year and business one during elon (aren't I great etc) but I do dip in from time to time if I see a tweet embedded somewhere and want to read the chain. And sometimes I want to see how clients are presenting work we're delivering for them (video). Just tried now and it's asking me to login to view the page (not even specific media, just the page). I'm sure last week I didn't need to. Has something changed? Have tried on multiple browsers.

I know the chances are zero but I always enjoyed forumenger @jonaent_(Jon) 's video for A.human / Take Me Home which fits the brief.
