The FA article is a good read but do bear in mind the writer is a fellow at a 'independent' thinktank. His brother coincidentally was the whistleblower who leaked the Putin's Palace stuff.
This also from him a couple of weeks ago:

Screens of him saying he spoke with lukashenko but didn't agree anything and that talks of peace in the media are lies. They're so good at this exhausting obfuscation bullshit that I just have to switch my brain off rather than work out what's actually true.
But there is likely to have been at least some heavy fighting: https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:today;@39.6,52.5,11z

Am usually extreme careful with giving out my email address.
Recently signed up for an umbrella company for a particular project. (Giant, as they were the only one on a particular approved list at both an agency and an end client). Used my email address. Almost immediately I start getting malicious emails to it with my Giant username in the title. Have had literally hundreds in the past couple of days.
Any recourse?
Any options to stop it? Mail comes from different addresses each time so even if I'm blocking and reporting all, they just keep coming.
I was waiting for a parcel and the first email was from 'parcelforce' or thereabouts so I opened it which clearly triggered a 'this clown opens emails' alert with them so they've doubled down on sending them.
Obviously didn't click links (though the one I opened had a large hyperlinked image appearing to show a parcel tracking thing).

'Fortress plan' roadblocks on the M4 to Moscow from rostov-on-don:

Something's cooking. Some odd footage floating about (looks staged but who knows what that means any more).
Wagner telegram channels say they've been attacked by Russian army (helicopters, multiple locations, miles from the front) and telling people to stay calm while they retaliate. This a couple of hours after a tirade from Prigozhin blaming Shoigu for starting the war (giving Putin a public 'out').

How fancy is your ply? During the first lockdown when I couldn't film anything I wanted a big surface in the attic (accessible only by a flimsy fold down ladder) to practice tabletop lighting so I bought two sheets of 2x1m ply, glued them together and put it on top of a scaffold frame with castors. It's not pretty but is very heavy duty and mobile (though it needed two people to lift it up through the gap). I sanded and oiled etc and was careful with the corners but it still looks a bit naff. I certainly won't be removing it when we eventually sell this place.
Second lockdown I wanted something prettier. So I bought a 2x1 oak tabletop and a pair of legs that are a bit like this from a local welder: https://www.hartleysdirect.com/hartleys-industrial-square-table-legs.html It went in the spare bedroom and now we don't have guests. (Two birds with one stone). It's great. Looks lovely when it's not covered it shit. So heavy duty I can jump around on it. And obviously @chrisbmx116 is jealous when he hears of how much reach I have with my 1m wide mousepad in PUBG so he's decided to copy me. Again.
Cables I got a boring bit for a drill and took a chunk out the centre. Has a nest underneath to support extension etc. The hole I removed also fits a monitor stand but I may need to do another one or extend it when I eventually get around to picking up the Ergotron LX Dual arm you recommended.
Chris, stop this shit attempt at a humble brag and realise that there is no such thing as too big a desk. Only too small. My next desk will just be me drilling a circle big enough to fit into out of the floorboards, and lowering myself onto a swivel stool.

Just clarifying on spanking in case you're actually hitting them. You can pick up brightbloom seeds and throw them (hold down R, hit up, select object to throw, release up, then release R when you're aimed).
Had no idea about the water matching up with the 'impassable' bits below. ' = because I've actually found tiny navigable tunnels through several of the bigger ones. I've got all the 120 lightroots but still only 102 shrines.

the pastry knife board thing for sweeping bits from his chopping board
I picked up a pair after seeing him use them :P
Really recommend his channel - think I've posted a few in the past. I also picked up one one of his books (the food lab) which is excellent and will in time get another ( 'the wok' which just won a james beard award).
His late-night-after-work-heavy-breathing-while-he-cooks-in-silence-with-a-gopro-on-his-head is a vibe.

Alright - any positive experiences from anyone with any particular FCSA accredited one?
https://fcsa.org.uk/directory-of-members/
End client don't have their own. They suggested Yuno Juno (who don't do their own) or Major Players who also don't do their own.
It's only for 12 days and so many seem to be a subscription based / 12 month thing. Also loads of horror stories in the reviews I'm reading of so many of them about slow pay or incorrect amounts etc. The one Yuno Juno recommends (or used to before they stopped recommending) got hacked not so long ago as well...! -

But can anyone be an umbrella as far as the end client is concerned? If it's a very specific thing where they will ask to see proof of my employment/contract with the umbrella, then I'll just start googling umbrella companies (unless anyone has any recs). But if they just need it to be a ltd company then could I ask my FiL/his ltd to invoice them and I give him a cut.
Have asked my accountant so will follow their lead.
Seems like I'd lose between 1/4 and 1/3 of gross pay through an umbrella company though which seems a chunk. They've said they'll increase dayrate but by how much I don't yet know.

Shirley you wouldn't be moving that desk... The desk belongs to the house now.
