This is weird. Why all this talk about which is better? Use both and either carry some spare batteries or avail yourself of one of London's famous London's corner shops or garages to purchase more when your old ones run out.
I have USB chargeable lights. The debate is down to that same ol' problem. People is people and will debate over any little thing.

Another thing I was going to say (but has probably been mentioned a million times already, so sorry about that) but what is it about people putting red lights on the front of their bikes?
Last night I saw two people on my cycle home with no light on the rear but a red light on the front.
I had to do that on Thursday night when I realized I'd forgotten to charge up my front light and decided it was better they see me coming than going.

There was a cab driver today who gave me (and other cyclists) loads of room, drove at a considerate pace when he was using the same lane as us, stopped in good time in front of all ASLs, and didn't cut anybody up or do anything at all to indicate that he was a fucking maniac.
I kind of wanted to go and knock on his window and thank him for being genuinely considerate but I didn't want him to think I was being sarcastic.
I do this more than you'd think. People really seem to like it.

Really bummed about this! Since the last ride, when I moved my saddle forward and things felt better, I've developed pain in my left knee and need to sort out positioning of saddle, stem and cleats before I attempt a 46 mile ride with a hill in the middle. For that reason, I'm out. (Sorry for the Dragon's Den talk)

Ah, Chris, sorry you'll not be coming but next one...
I was worried I wouldn't be able to make this and I'm still a bit nervous as Tanya found a piece of metal in the rear tire that I've realized has had a slow puncture for weeks, giving me a flat by morning. So: if my tire is even a tiny bit squishy in the morning, after trying to fix all this, it won't be a good idea for me to come on the ride.
But let's hope that's not the case. I'm looking forward to it!

This is an awesome idea. It's effectively December ladies drinks anyway init!
Also I reckon Steve at the C&H (south beers) would give us the upstairs room if we wanted it (depending on availability of course)
If everyone can cope with going that far south - I can ask him next monday and see what the score is?Yeah, relatively sure that'll be the case. And it's good for me and T4!

Same girl on a pale blue and chrome steel framed fixie with naked drops that I saw last week, heading down Battersea Rise from Clapham comoon at about 5:30 last night. Stunning bike. If she isn't on here she should be (and I'll tell her as much next time I see that frame)... other than that a nice Fuji came past me at the lights on Northcote road while some Twunt on a mountain bike decided to undertake and almsot kill the lot of us...
Is it quite a small bike? Girl with brown hair? I've seen her, too, and wondered. Y u no see me on my lovely Gazelle?

Dude, they're mens. Why do you keep buying mens shoes in your ladies size expecting them to fit? o.O
