I should clarify that I (having wide feet) buy mens Sidis and they fit splendidly. I haven't bought any womens-specific ones as yet. I have a pair of 40 Sidi winter boots and I wondered if I should have gone up a size further to allow for sockage. When I wore them earlier in the year they were so toasty that I didn't need more than a pair of sealskinz underneath (and there's always overshoes).
Ah, then this won't work for me - I have narrow feet. Pooh.

Would some of those shoe covers do the trick over your 'regular' riding shoes Jayloo?
Problem is that I still have to swap to road shoes. I figured since it's nearly winter and last year was awful, despite thick winter socks, I would jump the gun and get winter road shoes instead of splashing out on Sidis that I would then have to buy covers for, as well.

Okay, yes I suppose many peoples image of a twisty forest road may be a narrow lane. There are twisty forest road all over the forest and a high proportion of them are two lanes wide.
So to be clear - it was a two lane road with a couple of 35 degree bends in it.
What I can't understand is that you people are arguing about the Highway Code when PRACTICE would indicate that riding on the right-hand side of a road that has a bend in it which would obscure the view from the other side is fucking stupid and likely to get your ass handed to you. It was lucky in this case that that didn't happen.

Seriously. I had long pants on. Apparently yesterday was the day of the pebble for me. I also at one point had a pebble jump off the tow path and get INSIDE my sock.
