This bike on ebay looks good although confusing. It's got track drop outs and gear fixings, was this ever commonly built or was either of these features an addendum you think?

Been to the doc and yes it's the Palenta thing. Anything from sergury to phycsio the doc says. I'm going private. The doc also says the knee is the worst part of the body to have treatment for by the NHS, i'll be waiting for ages for a junior to sneeze all over the insides of my knee.

My Dad seems to have much the same symptoms, the problems arose through the years in many car accidents(driving). Just wondering would any of you know any details on the surgery side of things?
He has gone to GP's before through the years and it has gotten to the stage where surgery is the only real solution. I am using this as a query and as a sort of lesson to you all, his knee gets so bad at times that clutching in the car makes him nearly scream. So catching these problems early really is the trick.

My knee is screwed! I was cycling w14 to e14 last night and really felt my left knee twinge. It's like a really sharpe pain under the knee cap whenever I am in the downward action of pedaling, as such I've decided to give it a rest. I do tend to carry quite alot of weight when i bike, big Kryptonite lock and tools and cloths. I did get a nasty bang on the knee in question four years ago when a car turned right without checking his mirrors and my knee collided with the drivers door handle. After a few monthys of recovery it's been fine ever since

Should I seek perfesional advice from a doc? Or just give it a rest for a few days.

Approximately 1.30 yesterday I was riding east down Kenny high Street and I saw what looked like a fold-up bike in a pool of blood. Traffic filth had the area cordend off, they said the rider is "alive" but I don't know how severe the incident was.

All I know is ther was a mountain bike with snapped seat stays and bent forks in a pool of blood. I hope the rider is OK.
