I wasn't really counting, but I think I did 6 laps in about 50 minutes, which I was really pleased with!
Notable points in chronological order:
1.Joining the back of a pace line thinking it was you lot. It wasn't.
2.Being joined for half a lap on the back of the SeriousRoadies group by some nutter doing laps on a Brompton. Turned out to be BMMF of LFGSS fame. A pleasure to meet you.
3.Tom spinning by and me giving chase and hanging on for all of about 30 seconds. Just long enough for him to let me know that he was on the days 110th mile. I had done about 20 at best. Fair play.
4.Doing a few more laps with some randomer. Pink jersey... hi if you're on here!
5.Being towed round for a final lap by another randomer. Way past my comfort zone so I couldn't take a turn at the front. When I thanked him for the tow he completely ignored me. Lighten up pal.All in all pretty good fun for my first time around Regent's, I'm glad I came by.

HoP 7/4/11
Spin CycleThursdays,1830hrs for 1845 departure at the Gloucester Gate traffic lights. Heading anti-clockwise.
20mph+ average, but if you can't hold on, worry not! Form your own little train for light relief. Lap times are between 7:00 and 8:00, with a possible slow lap/rolling rest after the first 4. Stop after 8 laps/22 miles. Or earlier, if you're a slacker (you know who you are). A little bit of a rest, then off to the Edinboro Castle for some refreshments (calorie recovery through chips and beer). Or the Flask, if you can face the hill. The chips are better and cheaper.- modest

Looks like I'm in for this now. Have been running tonight so I will feel rubbish tomorrow- never mind.
I'll add myself to the SlackerList, but who knows how things will turn out. 6pt I recognise and approve your waiver of responsibility but I'll be damned if you can stop me doing laps... (hope Cambridge was good-- very jealous! Lovely day for it).

Gutted i didn't make it for this! Stayed at work until half eight; on the plus-side I managed fastestcommuteeverrrr.
I will be keen next week, but I have no intention of managing an average of 22mph; that sort of thing is for the unemployed :-)
If I knew Edinburgh Castle was on the agenda I would have joined post-ride!
