Let me get something clear;just because I parked my new bike in Richmond doesn't mean I am affluent or privelaged.I am a normal hard working guy fallen victim to petty crime which just pisses me off with this country. It would be an interesting social experiment to place locked bikes in cities around the world and monitor how long it took for them to disappear........."Edscoble" left his in Kings Cross for 3 days and it was totally intact on his return....Richmond or Kings Cross??
By the way Edscoble spoke to my insurance company just now the no "forums" or "forms" needed just a fax........think it might be a Spanish Bank!!!Gonna take a £400 hit for the privelage too......but cause I live near Richmond obviously its not a problem. -
pedaling home from my nightshift this morning I saw a similiar bike travelling the other direction had mudguards though and looked little old but you're right. I really wasn't in the mood or have enough energy to confront the guy;I'll wait at the same spot tomorrow and have a polite chat with him; if he is a genuine single speed commuter!!!"Excuse me sir can I check your frame number............"had enough of the English weather and people that's for sure.Rgds Harris

Might have some wealthy residents but the general level of crime especially petty crime(not that I consider my bike petty)is high...lots of phone muggings etc. guess it pays for the next hit of whatever!!!
Maybe Boris should have his bike nicked see what he does........
Couldn't agree more about those Forums. -

I'm contemplating using the "tynan" style of deterrent .........
Thinking of using my insurance cash on a Pearson;any critique?????
