My wife's bike was stolen last night from a courtyard just off Kingslan Rd. It's an old 3-speed Hercules with a lot of original parts but not that well mantained...
Thiefs go to the courtyard every other night and take wheels, chains, whatever they find (my bike's safely in the flat). She's not really mourning the loss, although a lot of people advised her she could get a lot of money for it. The problem is that now she doesn't have a bike at all...
So if any of you have anything on the cheap side for a 5'7'' female it'd be much appreciated... Wouldn't mind a converted/convertible roadie as it would make it easier for her to keep pace (she was on 2 mph on the Hercules...)
Thanks!!!

HI All
I'm new to this business and, after opting out of the cycle to work program, have decided to build myself a fixed gear bike.
I went to Kiwi cycles and saw a Ken Ryall frame that was my size and seemed pretty light yest pretty strong for £100.I read the other thread relating to these frames and I'm now worried I might be paying too much! I have to say I liked it and I loved the gritty basement, and I don't think I'm being ripped off, but I want to make sure I'm not paying a lot for a frame that might not be all that...
Any help appreciated!

just finish testing the rest of the bike in your list and decided which one you like the best (if it the Charge Plug - remember to change tyres to a slicker thinner one, as the current one is rather slow).
Question:
Can I just change the tyres on the Plug to make them thinner? Wouldn't I have to change the whole wheel? -

Seven Sister's waaay worse mate.
Yes, Hackney has the potential to be dangerous BUT you get a lot of nice things you wouldn't get in other parts (in my experience), ie. you feel like you live around humans, not robots.
The turkinsh guy in my off-license offered me his summer house by the Black Sea for free... That's what I mean.
Although an uber-trendy nu raver would probably not get the same treatment... -

At Parsons Green opposite the White Horse against a Smart. Cyclist was probably going way tooo fast for that roundabout but the driver didn't look too smart either... He stayed in his car with his shades on while people rushed to help the cyclist. He didn't seem too bad and the bike was fine. Ambulance was there within minutes...
Her old Hercules got stolen last night so I'm looking for a quick replacement.
If any of you have anything that would suit a 5'7'' girl and isn't too expensive please let me know.
A roadie with horizontal-ish dropouts would be perfect, as I wouldn't mind converting it myself!
Thanks!
