Also, I've just had my Pomp powder coated and will be getting some more decals made up soon. I have a mate that does them for me. Going for this logo but with a Yorkshire rose instead of the burst/splat thing. Might be able to get a couple of extra sets done if you and dron are interested?
Got a set of Blumels and some Randonneur Hypers to go on the bike tomorrow so might have to get a pic in here soon.
count me in on the decals! great idea with the rose.
what is blumels? -
I'm going with panels. Probably with some thinner coloured bands at the ends of the panels.
great minds... I've been looking at classic suzuki livery http://www.motorsportretro.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/bikes_xr14jpg.jpg

Not much to post so far so, but parts have started to show up, though some of the pricier items will need to wait until I have the cash or come across deals.
So far it's going to be:
- XL Pompetamine - White, but I don't like the gold logos. They're under the clear and I don't want to pay for a blast/powder so have a few ideas of ways to address the issue. Also have one of the sweet metal headtube badges for it.
what do you have in mind for the decals? I have the same isue. Thinking about either having some stickers made to cover them or simply paint panels over them.

Anyone have a genius 5 step plan for producing a ghetto front rack built around a wine crate / fruit box?
Street machine isn't going to happen this year by look of it, so instead found a (free) decent quality 90s marin with 700c's on it that'll be the perfect faux porteur bike. However the budget is literally zero. I might spring £8 on a chain and some fresh brake blocks, but thats it, everything else must be made, found or be free!
Front rack because they look cool (almost literally no other reason), and panniers/ rear rack gets in way of my feet, look aweful when wet and nasty as the bike will be living outside etc.Forks have front rack mounts & mudguard mounts either side of dropout so its at least designed for it.
you might be able to adapt a cheap/found steel rear rack to fit on the front and mount the crate on that.

it must be coated somehow, but it looks not to have been keyed beforhand. it must be bound to flake of with the first chips.
it also seemed way thinner than any powdercoat I've seen.
