At the mo i'm hooking it around the end of strap where it attaches to bag, then securing the other end through a loop of webbing attached to corner toggle thing.. but it swings into my knee when i'm low on the drops, need something to secure it to my belt, or back of bag.

Nope, based in Nottingham but girlfriend in Leeds. Normally bring my bike up for weekends, makes the 7am train easier to catch.

Unfortunatly i'm up in Leeds this weekend (I recommend Sunday night gig at Brudenell social Club for those up north), can't tell you how much I enjoyed a day in the country on the Carlton. Beats innercity riding!

Ah, is it the brake cable not going inside the bartape?

If so, then i've not had a chance to rewrap since purchasing, previous owner had the brake on the end of bars for quick removal at track. Just bought some new tape, but still deciding on brake set up.

Took bike home to Norfolk this weekend, lovely cycling. Campag omega v's on it since last pics. Thanks to GIzmond for those. Bought some new bartape (just deciding on whether to keep the brake or get a little lever on it). Then a 18t on the back and possibly SPD's i've got kicking around.

It's because so many great things come up for sale, you know you've got seconds to snap things up. Then quite often you'll see someone asking for something you've got. Means lots of people keeping an eye on the classifieds.

Looking for a small clamp on lever for my drops, like the look of the specialized cross-top lever, but can't seem to find them online. Anyone got one kicking around or point me in the direction of somewhere that sells them (i'm not in london, so no LBS's)

Finished this on sunday. JRJ Path frame with Chater Lea, Airlite, Bayliss Wiley, Renolds & GB Ye Olde English bits. Wolber & jalco (stripped) rims, Belleri bars, Salmon muddies.

Wish Dave Crowe hadn't bothered putting the headtube crest on like I asked him not to, as it doesn't fit between the massive lugs.

Still, I love it.

For cotter pins, if they get jammed your best with a center punch (or an old bolt) and a big hammer... just smack it out backwards (else it just gets tighter ;-)

This is just what I needed to spur me on with my carlton conversion. I've got open pros coming my way to, glad they look good! Also like the crankset, may have to aquire some, been wondering what would look good!

Well, there are quite a few riders I know, + those I don't. With summer coming on I expect to see many more coming out of the woodwork. Riding about Sneinton/Town on red Graham Weigh and a cream Carlton track (come warmer weather). Hope to see you guys about.

I've got the Topeak Mini Morph (see GA2G's post) which is excellent,

Sturdy, has a footrest, tube connection to minimise ripping off the valve.

Think it cost me about £20, and it's pretty small.

GOT ONE FROM WIGGLE

The rubbish separate clamp style one has, indirectly, ripped two pairs of trousers over Christmas, due to the clamp bolts being wider than the saddle. What a fool I was.

So if anyone has a cheap integrated clamp seatpost d=26mm, for delivery to Nottingham, i'd be grateful, to the tune of £10 or so.
