Does London have any kind of annual ghost bike ride? Pretty sure NY does. I think something to bring attention to how many cyclists lose their lives on London's streets is needed. How about having a proportion of riders involved wearing only white- 'ghost riders'- representing the lost lives? I'll happily sign a petition but wonder if they ever really achieve anything...

What can we do? A memorial/protest ride sounds like a good idea; could we get press/media involvement? Trying to think of folk I know in TV/radio news- any coverage to get the message out there that something's got to be done.

We sell Duracell Procell batteries at my place of work... same spec as standard Duracell but work out cheaper because of bulk packaging. Usually initially charged to slightly higher capacity as well. Box of 10 for about £3 in either AA or AAA. Actually if anyone wants any, give me a shout.
