Yeah @HHC- maybe its just my designer OCD kicking in,.. couple that with my total lack of respect for 'the past' and I'm thinking about dropping decals. Its a conversation for another thread but I think there's a lot to be said for old stuff (I bought a very old frame for a reason) but nonetheless, I'm not dogmatically attached to shit like 'vintage' just because.
I'm going to let it run for now- the build is brand new and exciting still. I'll update my changes on Pedalroom (IACGAF) - probably a new cockpit coming soon and I'm almost certainly going to build an obnoxiously deep front wheel at some point over the winter.
Whatever happens though, whatever the case, whatever the feedback- this is a bike I've thought about a lot and I absolutely adore. It rides like a fuckin champ and I couldn't be happier to finally be back on a fixed drivechain after so many years. Hand-claps to Poland and Italy for making the awesome shit which allowed me to construct such a joyful vehicle.

Sorry @HHC that sounds super aggressive- the sticker on the seat tube doesn't even fit. My view from here is, if the bike would look cleaner without it I'm ok with that since they clearly did not give any fucks when applying them

Finished! Couple photos of a built bike. Took it for a maiden voyage yesterday. Felt a lot more responsive than I'd anticipated. Very very direct ride. You might notice that the first photo has that Panasonic (yellow walled) tyre on the front. I've just fitted a Conti in its place (second photo).. not sure it'll make a huge difference to the ride but nonetheless, that is done.
So- overall, I am very very happy with this build. It feels amazing to ride. It is lighter than I thought it'd be, the cotton bartape looks quite nice from some angles but I'm not sure I'm totally sold on the feel of it, its a 49x17 which is about 4" more than I'm used to so skidding feels a little bit sore right now but I'm in love the power it delivers- once winter sets I might adjust, the bars are nice to ride but I'm not totally sold on their appearance (will decide later if I care about this), chain is silent after a little adjustment on the crankset. Soon as the dark clouds leave I'll do a distance ride and really get a feel for it but I must say that as of now.. I'm a pig in shit :D

My 65s/Criteriums arrived today. I have to be honest I can't see a huge difference between them and the Del Mondos. I've been so tempted by Nitto but I must resist.. the European build has to take centre.
[For the record] I actually couldn't give too much of a fuck about things like period correct/geography but I suspect I'm a bit of a romantic/obsessive at heart and that's why I'm drawn to keeping this whole EU thing alive. I've never done it before and felt like I should go with it for once

People are dicks when given the context to behave as such. It seems that this is often fuelled by criteria which makes them feel removed by greater degrees of separation.
Take for instance the guy who buys a t-shirt from Primark, knowing that that shit is way too cheap to be anything close to ethically produced yet buys it anyway- fuck it, that misery is far away. Or the Manager who treats the intern very differently from how he does his boss - he's far enough away from the intern from a class perspective despite them occupying the same physical space. The nobhead at the bar getting angry at the waiter because he's taking longer than 5 minutes to notice he's there and he wants his drink right-fucking-now ... 'why is this asshole taking so fucking long- useless prick'.
I find that there is an established 'us/them' with cars and bikes (and, for the record, pedestrians). Cars hate bikes- bikes hate cars etc. Its super fucking dumb- but not because either camp is a pack of arseholes, its because their criteria for existance has been poorly or naïvely designed by people lacking the foresight which modern life has presented us.
'I am in a car and i have a right of way' 'this is my road'
'I am on a bike and could be killed at any moment, don't you fucking dare not notice me dickhead' 'oh.. and this is my right of way fuck face'
There is some interesting shit going on in various towns scattered throughout the world (which I'm sure you know about- or have been mentioned in this thread- sorry if it has..) where they've tried removing shit like street signs and lights etc. - Took me a while to figure out why this was a good idea but moving to Amsterdam gave me some clues a few years ago. The idea (I think) is that you remove the criteria- the 'this is mine' bit and let people sort it out amongst themselves. No rules.. just humans trying not to step on eachother's shoes. It levels the playing field such that it makes that possible.
So yeah.. 'what do you think of motorists' was maybe an intentionally divisive question. If not then I submit to you that actually the problem is that we even think of them as 'motorists' rather than just other people on-road who happen to be in bulkier machinery.
And, for the record- I've seen far more cyclists behaving like total cunts on the road than I have people in cars.

Yeah, well it certainly doesn't feel crappy nor look in any way inferior to any other SL equipped frame from that period. Branding is a powerful weapon right?
If I do have a gripe though, its that the ROMET sticker isn't the perfect size for the seat tube. There's a ~4mm gap where the two end of the decal should surely have met. Stupid shit like that is what separates them from their Italian brothers

@wqvm I'm assuming you were doing a joke,.. using humour- being smart / in jest '' doing a funny ]] chocking the hoot. But I'm actually sat here thinking about it. If this Miche stem is as horribly bogus as that post says it is, I need to jack my shopping list, sell the stem and re-invest. If it come to that, I'd probably be eyeing up one of those aero posts. Similar design to the supertype but minus the holes

Aah.. ok- yeah I did wonder about it's olympic pedigree. Nonetheless, I still like it.
I paid 270. Could be too much, could be too little- who knows. The fact is that its so un-proved on the internets its little surprise that you're getting not much bite for your ad. I was drawn to the fact I'd never heard of it but as you know yourself, the first thing you do when you come across something new is to get your Google on. If nothing comes back it generally gives you a hint that the world doesn't really have an opinion on it which often pushes your hand to think that maybe its unknown for a good reason.
I haven't actually ridden mine yet since its still bar-less and chain free but as soon as I do I'll be making notes and pushing it up in the organic search rankings. Who knows.. either it'll be awesome and help you sell yours or the opposite. For both of our sakes I'm hoping it'll be the former :)

so buy a super old out-dated stem and fit a bar which is only good for tricks... gold advice
The only thing you said which rings true is the Criterium on a track bike- I've struggled with that a lot. Fact is, I'm not riding this bike on a velodrome so I need bars with more positions than just drops or clearly I'd have fired up some track-spec weaponry and sunk into those drops all day. I wouldn't dream of offending this frame with risers so the best I could come up with is a bar which will give me position of choice for street riding and maintain its thoroughbred origin.

Pics tho please
