Just had a punt up the A414 in that black 550i touring. Very smooth, quiet, supple, certainly covers ground quickly but quite polite... almost underwhelming. Poor torque, but really gets going at higher revs.

Comfortable though and everything seems to work. VIN decoder turned up something interesting though.

I’ve also nerded out and compared it to the blue manual one. Shame the manual isn’t in the black one!

Yep. It’s the age old debate. Could just go for a 5 year old diesel Skoda Superb estate and be done with it.

I thought the M-sport package did wonders for the handling though... seems odd not to spec it on a manual.

There’s a keen dog eye... the mischief is real. She is smart, and if there’s no outlet, she misbehaves.

Willow is about four months old now! Growing up into a great doggo. She sleeps well, is doing great with potty and generally nailing the training. We are really trying to put the effort in and be consistent. Walking now about 20 mins twice a day, it’s all fields around here so she’s loving it. Almost got fetch down too, apart from giving the dang stick back :)

A couple of things still to work on.

She sometimes hates being left alone in her crate, more so when she suspects there’s stuff going on that we’re excluding her from. Like having a meal at the table (us that is), even when she has her own right next to her. She can be quite a vocal nuisance. We’ll just persevere with the good puzzle treats like cheese stuffed kongs.

Fear of travelling in the car is real. Trying little and often, getting better slowly.

Also, despite all our de-sensitising efforts, she has a pathological fear of the claw clippers. Brings out the bitey.

All in all going good.

I’m catching up after a few weeks off. Love this.

Sounds good, no tips really, it’s been a long time since I made cured sausages, I remember hanging them inside while they fermented then downstairs in a cool cellar.

I’ve used it before, good choice. Where are you curing/ drying them?

Hi guise. I’ve finally bought a pi zero WH and an Adafruit LED matrix and bonnet from pimoroni for a bit of fun. Got a Sd card too loaded with NOOBS.

All a learning curve for me as first pi and I only coded in VBA before.

So far I got it set up with a monitor, then ditched that and went in over SSH from windows power shell on my laptop. Got the pi set up with the LED matrix and ran a couple of the test projects from howchoo including a cool crypto ticker.

I want to make my own ticker to display information about the national grid in real time, luckily there’s an API but I will need to write a programme to pull the right information and display it.

Love learning new stuff. What’s the best place apart from here to learn/discuss Python?
