Hey Jessberry,
My knowledge of Norwich is 7 years out date, but there used to be a LOT of bike shops there.
You don't need a "wheelset" you need a front and a rear.
They don't need to match.
For the front any 700c wheel will do and you shouldn't have much difficulty getting something for the 20 quid mark.
the rear will cost more though. There are a few folk on here from norwich so they might be better placed to help

I've been happily lurking on this,
But
Spotted at 9:15ish tonight (saturday 15th) on old compton street:
"...CUNT/KID WITH WHITE B43.." to quote a phrase.2 friends in tow.
According to the photographic idents previously provided it was most definitely one and the same. With his hood up to boot.
I will go back to lurking now.

I'm after:
a fixed rear. threads MUST be in good nick, ideally with lock ring included.....
and an 18 tooth 3/32 cog would be nice too.
OR a bolt on cog hub system would be very nice. wide OLN is not an issue as will be spaced to 126, then 130 at a later date.ideally a Box section rim ie MA3, open pro etc etc etc,and ideally silver, 32-36 hole.
However wont rule much out (other than Deep deep Vs) if the price is right.Cash as don't paypal so London based collection/transaction.
What's anyone got?
Cheers

I have a conversion kit with an 18 and 16 tooth cogs and two spacer blocks, only used a few times with the 18 tooth.

What bits you wanting to swap?
Or rather do you have any of the following:
worn out 44-46 tooth 130 bcd chainring
Bar end shifter for rear mech
modern shimano short cage rear mech
27.2 inline seatpostIf not how does a fiver sound?
we'll need to arrange meet up.Don't know if you'd prefer a kit like you have shown a photo of though.

I'm after some moustache style bars,
Ideally road diameter tubing so a bar end shifter could be fitted, however won't rule anything out if price is right.
Also after a 27.2 dia inline seat post.
Ideally silver.
300mm length is good.
Not Thompson as can't stretch to that I'm afraid.London transaction, cash waiting.
Been off the bike for months with injury so not super mobile, but have travelcard will travel etc.Cheers

Yeah agreed, and If you like a high cadence think lower still.
I settled on 34-44 and my 44 didn't see much use.(admitedly my bikes haven't seen much use this winter)
13-25 at the back.Your legs/style may vary.
You could just ditch the second chainring altogether and keep the 39 as a single ring.
Nice and Simple.Do those August GO races at Herne Hill later this year and see how that feels with just the 39. They wont be too muddy so if you don't feel under geared then you wont when winter hits properly.

Hello Bernie
Could you tell me the top tube and head tube length and is that a 700c frame?
2 more hassle measurements if it's possible:
height of the bottom bracket spindle to the ground and the clearance around the bottom bracket within the chainstays (ie maximum width of tyre )I've got a friend who might be interested.
Cheers

you may have better luck looking here:
http://www.ukcyclocross.com/forum
although it is a pretty quiet place. It's approaching the end of the season so come march you'll get all the gear heads flogging their current machine ready to get something new for next season so you might get something with suitable bling then.
Have fun
