Sadly the bars don't fit the stem... The stem is an older 25.4 one I believe, and the bars are (like you say) 31.8.

I have a similar length EA70 stem if you'd like (ahead style) - same price?

**A 531 frame, possible slightly out of alignment as it has a tendency to steer to one side a bit when you take your hands off the bars! One side's rear dropout has been welded at some point (quite neatly). Chips in paint and the odd bit of rust, but could make a good round-town bike?

Rode over a load of glass a couple of days ago and picked several large pieces out of my front tyre (armadillo) - despite riding along for several hundred metres with the glass embedded in the tyre, I didn't get a single puncture...

Is that expensive tool not just a sheet of steel with socket cap screws in it? We had 5 people out yesterday - so there's a good chance there will be a few down next week too. Bring some lights though, as it's starting to get wuite dark now...

Sadly my bike is undergoing some maintenance at the moment so I might not make it down tomorrow (at least not fixed). My forks are causing me problems - out of line and also the steerer is not quite right. If anyone has any old 27" forks with about 175mm steerer then give me a shout...
