Originally it had a 1" ahead steerer as seen pictured in the magazine review. I wanted the stem a little bit higher (and didn't like how all the spacers looked) so had a thread cut down the shaft of the steerer which turned it into the older style threaded steerer and allowed me to use a quill stem.

SOLD Lovely bike in fantastic condition. This actual bike was described by a cycle journalist as the best steel bike he'd rode in 20 years of testing. Originally it had an ahead steerer, I got Argos to cut a thread in it so I could use a quill stem.

SOLD Lovely wheels that have had very little use, tyres are as old as wheels to give you an idea. Low hundreds at most. Some grubby marks on rear stickers from chain oil. And a couple of stickers are slightly lifting as pictured. Smooth and true and sound fantastic.
Tyres included but cassette not.

11 speed MTB cassette could fit.

I know the older hope pro2 hubs will fit a 11 speed Shimano MTB cassette but not an 11 speed road.

I think it looks very cool in the pics but a headtube gusset on a road frame is surely overkill.

I'm interested in this - is it 56cm both ways?
