Thanks - that's great info.
I've got 19.9kWh (18 usable really with 10% SoC reserved) which I top up at 7p overnight. On average over the winter, I'm using about 30-40% of the battery, leaving about 11kWh so I could get away with just using the battery on most days which would mean a daily cost to heat of 70p.
Octopus is 28p per kWh in peak (5.30-23.30) so I would assume I would probably use, on really bad days, maybe 20kWh peak which would be £5.80 but I assume less as there's time overnight which I'd get the lower rate.

Mate, you chat some nonsense on here sometimes and this is right up there.
To cover off your points briefly:
- I know the speed as I glanced at my speed (22 indicated), 1-3 seconds before he passed me as a noticed him pulling toward my back wheel and looking around me approaching the traffic island. This is corroborated by the speed rating on my Datatool tracker. As he passed me, he was travelling anywhere between 1.5 and 2x my speed and accelerating as was clearly evident by the sound of his revs increasing
- This was not ‘in the past’. It was around 2-4 seconds between him passing me and the impact.
- It did not make me unhappy. It made my wary of his behaviour to the point that I checked my speed and adjusted my road position to avoid him.

The car came out from behind a stopped lorry with no visibility of traffic when the light was green / going amber, heading the opposite direction to traffic.
I would say he has blame for the incident though there's weighting towards the bike for sure.
Having watched a few legal eagle episodes on 44teeths channel, I don't believe speed is a black and white factor in judgement though it's obviously a serious thing to consider.
The police have already called me, taken further details and asked for a formal statement as they don't have CCTV which is incredible given how built up the area is. I will of course give a statement for what I saw.

Witnessed a pretty bad motorbike accident this morning. Bloke on an SV650 went over the front of a Toyota Corolla. He was awake and talking but his back and left leg started hurting as the adrenaline wore off. I stayed for about 30 mins whilst police arrived and took details.
Probably 60:40 on the bike. He overtook me, on the wrong side of a traffic island doing 35-40 (in a 20) about 5 seconds before the crash. The driver was Uber I think and had dropped off a passenger and was rejoining the road going in the opposite direction. A lorry had let the driver go across him and the bike didn't see until it was too late and couldn't slow down. Reckless from both parties.
He was lucky he hit the front of the car at an angle and went over the bonnet rather than side on otherwise I think it would have been much worse.
Hope he's on the mend soon. Fingers crossed it's a learning moment for both.
