I ordered some rando parts back in early November having shipped to my Mom's in the USA. I got over there myself on the 25th and it hadn't dispatched yet! I did actually manage to contact them through the contact us form and did get a reply a day later with a tracking number.
Still not great.
There is a whole thread on this RH customer service stuff on the 650b email list:

I have a R900 frame available and could sort postage to Ireland.

I'm moving to Vietnam in a few months and I'm looking for someone to make a custom big bag for transporting my S&S coupled bike (formally DBAD). Ideally I'd like something that is softsided with foam for protection and can be worn as a backpack. The S&S bag is pretty ugly and surprisingly expensive. I feel something better could be made to the dimensions of 26"x 26"x 10". The orucase ninja is a nice layout but would be better if it was more compact. Unfortunately they don't make their sub62 anymore.
Are there any LFGSSer bag makers who'd be up for making on of these or does anyone know of any framebag makers who'd be up for the project?

These style racks would look great with the SON edelux protection cage from SVEN Cycles

I have an alfine 11 on my Surly disc trucker commuter/tourer and it has been fine for a number of years. It does occasionally slip under high torque. Getting the indexing just right takes some practice. Shifting is solid though. I run mine in vertical dropouts with the 2 jockeywheel chain tensioner.
Annually I do a service on it using the Rolholff service fluids (detergent and oil).
I can agree with #6 and #8 especially...

the quality is getting worse/inconsistent
Totally agree. I was wearing my 2012 Winter Jacket last weekend and thinking what a quality piece of kit it is and how well it holds up year after year.
It is probably less that the quality is bad it is more that the garments are just less durable than historically.

That Bob Jackson looks so good!
