A resident of Balmarino, Fife to be precise.
Sadly his wonderful wife Margaret passed away earlier this year and it has been hard on him. They were thick as thieves and their many adventures are catalogued wonderfully in the second volume RSF Achive Book. He is the organiser of some of the best perms going in Scotland including the 1590km Eightsome Reel that I did last year.

Photos to come!
I should add I was riding the DBAD bike @amey brought it to existance. It's finally living out its birth right and seeing some of the world.

PBP Qualifications are underway for me here in SE Asia.
This past weekend I traveled to Malaysia to take part in their "New Season 400" which was a bit of a main road bash around the Durian farms East of KL. Thankfully I like the smell of Durian...
The course was rolling hills but with over 150 entries there were big groups on the road pushing the pace. It was a nice change from UK riding and good fitness with an avg moving speed of 28 kph. Stopped time was significant with lazy street food, puncture and gas station stops. It was a nice to experience the different culture with stops at particular times of day at a towns mosque for the Muslim riders to do their prayers.
Wildlife highlights were monkeys on power lines spectating and Komodo Lizards (dragons) as roadkill. On Friday I head to Philippines to take part in a double header from Subic in the NW of Luzon. The Saturday they are hosting a BRM 300, followed by a BRM 200 on Sunday. They are a little workman like with it being 150 out and back on Saturday, and then the same route but 100km out and back on Sunday. From a cost perspective though I am happy that I can get two rides done with one trip. With the 4am start I hope to be finished by lunchtime to make my evening flight back to Vietnam.

My Velo Cult rando was done this way by forming the mudguard around the chainstay. The work was done by the framebuilder, Mark Nobilette not me, but it works wonderfully.
On my Isen I did some squeezing with a pair of plumbers grips to slightly narrow the pdw fenders to fit in the seatstays. I also put some helitape inside on the stays

As we look to the new season, I am blessed by no windows for PBP qualifiers here in SE Asia.
My plans currently are a weekend at the beginning of December in the Philippines where they're running a Saturday 300 and Sunday 200.
For my 600 next month I found this devilish one in Thailand I am tempted to give a go, 12,000m of climbing though...

3T blurb
The spoke bed is also improved by what 3T calls double-angle drilling, which means that the holes are set both for the radial and tangent angles, creating a straighter line from the hub flanges to the rim. The alloy nipples are set internally for greater rim strength and they rest on washers that add strength to the rim and make it easy to tension if you ever knock the rim out of true. The drilling is also asymmetric, with the drilling closer to the left side than the right, to better balance out spoke tension for both the front and rear wheels, as both are dished. You know that rear wheels are dished, meaning the rim is centered over the axle, not the hub body, but with disc brake hubs, the same happens, to a lesser degree, in front.

I'm pretty sure that Andy U up north and Graeme in Edinburgh will be running qualifying 400s. The whole history of the Auld Alliance 400 is as a PBP qualifier.
Andy U should be putting on a whole BRM SR series as PBP qualifiers. Usually from around Inverness area. Lucy may also be running some out of Galashiels.
